Quarterback Bailey Lincoski and running back Dominic Fundy powered Beth-Center to a 53-22 win over Springdale with 300 combined rushing yards and three touchdowns on Friday in the nonconference matchup.

“We look at it as a team thing,” Beth-Center coach Joe Kuhns said. “We've been able to spread the ball around, and the fact that Bailey is running the ball around like that takes some pressure off Dominic.”

Lincoski, who rushed for three touchdowns and caught another from Fundy, credited the offensive line.

“The line did amazing today,” he said. “We didn't have any missed blocks, nothing. They did amazing.”

Beth-Center (4-0, 1-0) struck first when Fundy rushed for a 13-yard score early in the first quarter, putting the team up 6-0 after a failed 2-point attempt.

Springdale (1-3, 0-1) quickly responded on its ensuing drive as Dylan Hargenrader scored on a 24-yard rush to give the Dynamos their only lead of the evening, 7-6.

“That's a tough offense to get ready for,” Kuhns said. “They're trapping and it's a tough offense to deal with. I thought we were, for the most part, very disciplined.”

The Bulldogs rattled off 27 consecutive points until Springdale ended its scoring drought with a field goal from Logan Panza with 10 seconds left in the half.

The score entering halftime was 33-10.

Fundy and Lincoski ran for 236 yards in the first half to lead the Bulldog offense.

Springdale would not go down without a fight, scoring on its opening drive of the second half and forcing a fumble on Beth-Center's ensuing drive at Bulldogs 11. But the Dynamos ended up turning the ball over on downs.

“I would've like to score the second time as well,” Springdale coach Seth Napierkowski said. “We had that fumbled snap that we ended up recovering. That kind of put a damper on the rest of that drive.”

Beth-Center outscoring the Dynamos, 20-6, after Springdale's turnover on downs early in the third quarter.

“It was just not enough plays made, the effort wasn't great throughout the night for us,” Napierkowski said. “I really think we're capable of much better.”

Springdale quarterback Josh Jones completed 7 of 18 passes for 144 yards and a touchdown, and added a late 10-yard rushing score. Running back Josh Harmon had 111 yards receiving on four catches.

Springdale, who falls into the bottom third of the WPIAL Class 1A Eastern Conference, hosts Leechburg at 7 p.m. Friday.
