CANON-McMILLAN & BURRELL IN 7th HEAVEN AS 2011 WPIAL TEAM WRESTLING CHAMPIONS

Two of the most decorated wrestling programs in the WPIAL are celebrating a record tying 7th district team championship Saturday with victories in the WPIAL Team Wrestling finals at Chartiers Valley High School. Canon-McMillan captured a second consecutive Class AAA title and the seventh championship ties them with Connellsville for the most in WPIAL AAA history. Meanwhile, Burrell builds on its own record for most consecutive team wrestling championships in the WPIAL with a fifth consecutive gold crown. The Bucs tied Washington with seven titles, the most in WPIAL Class AA history.
