Only the parents and guardians of players will be allowed to attend Friday night's boys basketball game at Clairton, the school's administration announced in response to an on-court brawl earlier this week.

Clairton hosts St. Joseph at 7:30 p.m.

“Pending the investigation into Tuesday night's basketball game, tonight's athletic event 29/18 will be closed to the public, with the exception of parents & guardians of participating student-athletes. We thank you for your cooperation,” Clairton administrators posted on the school's Twitter account @ClairtonSchool.

On Tuesday, the Clairton and Monessen boys basketball teams were involved in a fight that grew to include fans who left the stands. The game at Clairton was halted with 4 minutes, 26 seconds left in the fourth quarter.

The WPIAL board of directors has scheduled a hearing for Monday to examine how school administrators are addressing the issue.
