Noah Levett didn't feel much different Wednesday after making his college decision official.

He still has his eyes on one major goal for high school.

Levett, a Kiski Area senior, signed his national letter of intent to Bucknell on Wednesday, the opening day of the early-signing period for most sports.

“It went well,” Levett said. “It was kind of exciting to finally sign and get everything over with and just focus on wrestling.”

A starter since his first varsity match, Levett posted a 115-26 record in his first three seasons with the Cavaliers. He earned a pair of PIAA medals at the PIAA Class AAA individual tournament.

Levett went 40-10 as a junior, finishing second in the WPIAL and sixth in the state. He also helped Kiski Area win a WPIAL Class AAA team title, their first since 2003; the Cavaliers ultimately placed third in the state.

As a Division I recruit, Levett joins other recent Kiski Area alumni such as Joey Blumer and Matt McCutcheon (both Penn State), Alex Delp (Pitt) and Tyler Worthing (Bloomsburg).

“Wrestling's big at Kiski, so if you go farther than high school wrestling, it's a pretty big thing,” he said.

One goal continues to drive Levett for his senior season of high school wrestling: winning a state title. He said he spent a lot of time improving his strength and technique for the upcoming season, where he plans to wrestle at 132 or 138 pounds.

“(I have to) just let it fly and take every match one by one,” he said.
