The WPIAL's longest softball playoff streak will continue for another season.

Leechburg clinched its 32nd consecutive postseason berth Tuesday, beating Geibel Catholic, 14-0, in a Section 3-A contest. The Blue Devils (10-3, 9-1), who saw their 20-game section winning streak end Monday, bounced back with their seventh win by at least 10 runs.

The Leechburg streak began in 1987, and the Blue Devils broke the WPIAL record with their 30th consecutive appearance in 2016. Sto-Rox made it 29 consecutive seasons.

Leechburg won WPIAL titles in 1991, 1992 and 1995 and PIAA titles in 1992 and 1995. The Blue Devils made the WPIAL Class A semifinals last season.
