WPIAL consolation winner and third seed Ashley Huang of North Allegheny won two matches on Friday, then knocked off WPIAL champ Maria Santilli Saturday morning in the PIAA 3-A Semifinals before closing the deal on her state championship run with a 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 victory over Eliza Askarova of George Washington HS.

Then the Fox Chapel duo of Amanda Nord and Charlotte James added a PIAA championship to their earlier captured WPIAL girls doubles title with a 6-0, 6-4 victory in the state finals over Melissa Vizcardo and Alyssa Sarver of Pine-Richland in a rematch of the WPIAL 3-A girls doubles title match.

In Class 2-A, WPIAL singles tennis champion Laura Greb of Knoch reached the state championship match but fell in straight sets to Brenna Magliochetti of Bethlehem Catholic 6-2. 7-6 (7-5).
