12 WPIAL all-stars chosen for 2025 Big 33 Football Classic

Five offensive or defensive linemen were among a dozen WPIAL players chosen Friday to represent Pennsylvania in the Big 33 Football Classic this spring.

The 68th playing of the annual all-star game is May 25 at Cumberland Valley. Kickoff is 7:30 p.m.

The Pennsylvania roster includes South Park’s Parker Cunningham, Pine-Richland’s Jackson Bojanic-Hubbell, Thomas Jefferson’s Shep Turk and Upper St. Clair’s Nate Stohl on the offensive line, and Elizabeth Forward’s Christopher Climes on the defensive front.

Also selected from the WPIAL were Montour linebacker Daniel Batch, Steel Valley running back Donald Barksdale, Central Catholic quarterback Jy’Aire Walls, Beaver cornerback Amari Jackson, Plum safety Darian Nelson, Penn-Trafford linebacker Tasso Whipple and Thomas Jefferson long snapper Justin Schmidt.

Coatesville’s Matt Ortega will serve as Pennsylvania’s head coach. Pine-Richland’s Jon LeDonne is one of seven assistant coaches.
