Cheswick Christian Academy had enough Desiree to get its first win of the season.

Desiree Hamilton scored a game-high 17 points, lifting Cheswick Christian to a 33-25 victory over Hillcrest Christian School (1-1, 0-1) in a Southwest Christian Athletic Conference game Tuesday night.

Bethany Kosor added seven points for the Chargers (1-1, 1-0).

Boys basketball

Hillcrest Academy 40, Cheswick Christian Academy 27 — Andrew Drake scored eight points, but Cheswick Christian Academy (0-2) lost to Hillcrest Academy in Southwest Christian Athletic Conference play.

Hockey

West Allegheny 8, Fox Chapel 6 — The Foxes cut a five-goal deficit to one in the third period but couldn't complete the comeback in a PIHL Class A game. Chase Villani had two goals and three assists for Fox Chapel (3-5), and Colby Zmenkowski scored a pair of third-period goals. Tyler Kiss and Kellen Almady had hat tricks for West Allegheny (8-2).

Men's basketball

Penn State Fayette 75, Penn State New Kensington65 — Despite leading by two at halftime, Penn State New Kensington couldn't hold off Penn State Fayette in Penn State University Athletic Conference play.

Marvin Sidon led all scorers with 27 points for PSF (4-3).

Iman Young also added 14 points, and Atrayo Matthews scored 12 points.

Juwan Willis scored 19 points to lead PSNK (3-6). Antonio Hill added 18 points.
