2012 WPIAL Softball Review and Preview
March 21, 2012
The first pitch will be fired Friday to open up the 2012 WPIAL softball season. Latrobe, Yough, Burrell and Chartiers-Houston are ready to defend their district crowns and Valley prepares to defend their PIAA state title. This also marks the second season of the MSA Sports Hometown Softball program. WPIAL Recruitting: Two More WPIAL Standouts Make Verbal Agreements

Philipsburg-Osceola & Minersville Win 2011 PIAA State Softball Crowns

They didn't win a district championship this year but they are now wearing state gold. The Valley Vikings captured their first ever PIAA softball title by edging Manheim Central Friday in the Class AAA Finals at Penn State University.
