Freeport rallied around Ally on Monday.

Junior Ally DeJidas pitched a no-hitter and slugged a pair of three-run home runs, leading Class 3A No. 2 Freeport to a 10-0, five-inning victory over Section 1-3A opponent East Allegheny.

“It felt great,” DeJidas said. “It could have not been possible without some great defensive plays by my teammates. I am extremely excited for the rest of the year and believe this is just the beginning of something great.”

In her first year back pitching after three years away, DeJidas tossed her first career no-hitter, finishing one walk shy of a perfect game. She struck out four batters. She homered in the second and fifth innings, helping the Yellowjackets (7-0, 5-0) stay unbeaten.
