Josh Pratt scored 25 points to lead Aliquippa to a 65-48 boys basketball victory over Mohawk on Tuesday, clinching the Section 1-3A title.
Marcus Council followed with 17 points and Antonio Reddie added 11 for the Quips (16-3, 11-0). Bobby Fadden scored 28 points and Drew Wrona had nine for the Warriors (16-4, 9-1).
Sewickley Academy 65, Northgate 51 – Caiden Battles put up 17 points and Mamadou Kane finished with 15 as Sewickley Academy (16-3, 11-0) defeated Northgate (11-7, 8-1) to clinch the Section 2-2A title. Kaden Kemp scored 18 points to lead the Flames.
Allderdice 70, Westinghouse 34 – Lukas Stead scored 17 points and Matt Kossis added 12 to lead Allderdice (11-9, 8-0) to a City League victory. Darian Saunders led Westinghouse (2-12, 2-6) with 12 points.
Aquinas Academy 82, Avella 57 – David Zaharko led with 24 points, Jake Guillen followed with 23, Sam Duer had 11 and Jonah Burchill added 10 for Aquinas Academy (17-3, 8-1) in a Section 1-A win. Rylan Bell scored 15 points for Avella (9-11, 1-7).
Armstrong 46, Hampton 45 – Jacob Szep scored 21 points and Quinn Olsen added 10 to push Armstrong (6-14, 1-11) to a Section 2-5A win. Jonas Cupps scored 15 points and Gavin Guinn had 14 for Hampton (10-10, 6-5).
Avonworth 85, Ambridge 68 – Noah Goetz sank four 3-pointers and finished with 29 points while Tom Werner made five 3s and had 20 points to boost Avonworth (17-3, 8-1) to a Section 2-4A win. Adam Fernandez dropped 25 points and Jared Astorino followed with 19 for Ambridge (4-14, 0-8).
Baldwin 64, Bethel Park 55 – Nate Wesling scored 26 points and Max Marzina added 10 to lead Baldwin (19-1, 10-1) to a Section 3-5A win. Will Sabatos scored 19 points and Tanner Pfeuffer had 13 for Bethel Park (7-13, 4-7).
Beaver 53, Quaker Valley 41 – Brady Mayo scored 26 points and Junior Marino added 13 to lead Beaver (17-4, 7-2) to a Section 2-4A win. Sam Chapman scored 13 points and Nic Cohen had 10 for Quaker Valley (14-6, 4-5).
Belle Vernon 83, Greensburg Salem 48 – Trevor Kovatch hit seven 3-pointers and scored 27 points to lead Belle Vernon (18-4, 11-1) to a Section 3-4A win. Zion Moore added 25 and Curtis Wade had 10 for the Leopards. Braedon Leatherman scored 18 and Jackson Stevey had 13 for Greensburg Salem (5-15, 3-8).
Bentworth 74, California 57 – Christopher Harper scored 28 points, Lucas Burt followed with 17 and Ben Hays had 14 for Bentworth (9-9, 6-6) in a Section 1-2A victory. Jacob Ziolecki put up 28 points to pace California (2-17, 0-13).
Beth-Center 50, Burgettstown 40 – Jason Zellie dropped 22 points and Brayden Hull added 10 to power Beth-Center (9-12, 6-7) past Burgettstown (5-14, 2-11) in Section 3-2A. Blake Neal nailed four 3-pointers and finished with 18 points and Parker Rommes added 14 points for the Blue Devils.
Bishop Canevin 63, Keystone Oaks 46 – Jackson Maddix led with 17 points, Damar Olds and Eddie Benton followed with 14 points apiece and Drew Allen added 10 for Bishop Canevin (12-8, 9-0) in a Section 2-3A win. Erond Jakupi scored 29 points and Tulio Watts had 10 for Keystone Oaks (14-6, 6-3).
Burrell 78, Valley 49 – Tucker Bitar scored 25 points, Parker Pruitt followed with 19 and Ryan Wass had 18 for Burrell (7-14, 4-8) in a Section 1-4A win. Taireke Davis led Valley (5-15, 0-11) with 21 points.
Butler 47, Pine-Richland 46 – Tayt Lucas had 15 points, including the game-winning layup at the buzzer, Stainton Forbes added 14 points and Andrew Gettinger finished with 10 as Butler (14-6, 7-6) defeated Pine-Richland (6-13, 4-8) in Section 1-6A. Grant Spacciapolli scored 14, Alex Kastner had 11 and Emery Moye added 10 for the Rams.
Carlynton 61, Washington 48 – Mike Jenkins and Ishaga Barre scored 12 points apiece and Devonte Dean added 10 to lead Carlynton (9-11, 4-5) past Washington (5-13, 3-6) in a Section 2-3A win.
Carrick 72, Brashear 53 – Brayden Fisher scored 19 points to lead five players in double digits for Carrick (11-8, 4-3) in a City League matchup. Treshaun Beasley and Kejuan Johnson each scored 13, Kelenn Ward added 11 and Stephon Malloy finished with 10 for the Raiders. Nasir Thomas put up 15 points, Ryan White had 12 and Mike Lee contributed 10 for Brashear (5-14, 2-6).
Central Catholic 65, Connellsville 31 – Calvin Vento produced 13 points and Enzo Khalil added 10 as Central Catholic (13-6, 10-3) beat Connellsville (3-17, 0-13) in Section 2-6A. Lucas Harwood scored 10 points to lead the Falcons.
Central Valley 75, Hopewell 40 – Isaiah Jeter tallied 14 points, Ryan Conti scored 12 and Jamel Price followed with 11 to lead Central Valley (16-4, 6-3) to a Section 2-4A win over Hopewell (8-11, 2-6). James Armstrong led the Vikings with 13 points.
Chartiers-Houston 79, Mapletown 18 – Nate Gregory led with 34 points and Justus Buckingham followed with 14 for Chartiers-Houston (18-2, 12-1) in a Section 3-2A win. Lucas Stevenson scored eight points for Mapletown (0-18, 0-12).
Cheswick Christian Academy 59, Cornerstone Prep 46 – Brady Rochkind and Marqis Johnson each had double-doubles to lead Cheswick Christian (9-0) to a Southwestern Christian Athletic Conference win. Rochkind had 21 points and 15 rebounds and Johnson added 12 points and 15 boards. Joseph Rosio finished with 18 points for the Chargers. Dan Fabian scored 14 and Landon Tomasiak had 12 for Cornerstone Prep (6-3). The win clinched sole possession of first place in the Greater Pittsburgh Division for Cheswick Christian.
Eden Christian 71, Brentwood 67 – Mason Dean scored 24 points, River Bartram had 17 and Jackson Bremmer added 12 for Eden Christian (7-14, 5-6) in Section 2-2A. Forrest Betz scored 35 points, Colton Rosing added 14 and Aidan Barker had 12 for Brentwood (8-11, 5-6).
Elizabeth Forward 78, Yough 37 – Cy Herchelroath scored 14 points, Anthony Manno had 13 and James Gile added 12 to lead Elizabeth Forward (15-4, 8-2) to a Section 3-4A win. Jackson Pore scored 22 points for Yough (1-20, 0-11).
Ellwood City 76, Beaver Falls 63 (2OT) – Kaleb Servick scored 21 points, Aaron Lake added 17 and Charles Schweinsberg had 14 to lead Ellwood City (13-7, 8-3) to a win in double overtime in Section 1-3A. Dajuan Flenory scored 26 and Cartier Williams had 21 on seven 3-pointers for Beaver Falls (2-19, 2-10).
Fort Cherry 62, West Greene 61 – Shane Cornali drove the length of the floor to score the winning basket at the buzzer as Fort Cherry (10-8, 8-4) past West Greene (11-8, 9-4) in a matchup of playoff teams in Section 3-2A. Evan Rogers and Matt Sieg scored 14 points each, Cornali had 11 and Gavin Grace added 10 for the Rangers. Lane Allison scored 24, Parker Burns 14 and Darren Knights 11 for the Pioneers.
Gateway 56, Penn-Trafford 50 (OT) – Mykel Bruce-McCrommon scored 26 points and Paul Nnacho had 12 points and 12 rebounds to lead Gateway (11-8, 9-4) to an overtime win in Section 1-5A. Zach Feldman scored 18 and Brayden Stone added 11 for Penn-Trafford (11-9, 7-6).
Geibel Catholic 75, Environmental Charter 42 – Gary Tarbuk and Evan Strimel scored 20 points each and Roman Riccelli added 11 to send Geibel Catholic (12-9, 4-5) past Environmental Charter (0-14, 0-9) in Section 2-A.
Jefferson-Morgan 51, Carmichaels 28 – Dayten Marion scored 16 points, Houston Guesman had 13 and Jeremiah Robertson added 10 to lead Jefferson-Morgan (14-6, 10-3) to a Section 3-2A win. Alex Toth scored 11 points for Carmichaels (5-15, 4-9).
Kiski Area 63, Plum 36 – Amaree Gonzalez scored 18 points, Colin Keller followed with 14 and Tyler McDermott added 11 to power Kiski Area (13-6, 10-1) to a Section 2-5A win. Will Beckner and Max Grice each scored 10 for Plum (8-11, 4-7).
Latrobe 71, McKeesport 43 – John Wetzel scored 20 points, Max Butler hit six 3-pointers and finished with 19 points and Kyle McNeil added 11 to lead Latrobe (17-4, 9-4) in Section 1-5A. Lamont Perkins scored 23 for McKeesport (7-14, 4-9).
Ligonier Valley 47, Waynesburg 39 – Michael Vargulish-Graver scored 18 points and Michael Wisniewski added 13 to lead Ligonier Valley (12-8, 6-3) to a Section 4-3A win. Cole Headlee scored 14 points and Austin Surber had 12 for Waynesburg (8-11, 6-3).
Mars 68, Lincoln Park 60 – Austen Wroblewski led all scorers with 22 points to lead Mars (12-9, 5-5) to a Section 4-5A win. Will Wilson added 18 points and Austin Campbell finished with 12 for the Fightin’ Planets. Mason Rowan produced 19 points, Avon Pressley had 12 and Antonio Goodman and Damar Johnson contributed 10 points apiece for Lincoln Park (2-17, 0-10).
McGuffey 63, Sto-Rox 42 – Ayden Cunningham put up 24 points to power McGuffey (14-6, 5-4) to a Section 2-3A win over Sto-Rox (2-18, 0-9). Marcus Thomas scored 10 points to lead the Vikings.
Monessen 67, St. Joseph 51 – Rodney Johnson put up 16 points, Jae’Kwon Craggette added 13, Jayveyon Jeffries followed with 12 and Devontae Robinson finished with 11 as Monessen (13-6, 5-4) defeated St. Joseph (7-13, 2-7) in Section 2-A. Gabe Maltese dropped 19 points and Anthony Zavolta contributed 12 for the Spartans.
Montour 80, Thomas Jefferson 60 – Colton Straight scored 35 points and Kaleb Platz and Ama Sow added 15 points apiece to lead Montour (19-1) to a nonsection win. Nick Trkjla scored 21 points and Noah Kaszer had 20 for Thomas Jefferson (10-11).
Moon 56, West Allegheny 28 – Carter Tumulty led all scorers with 28 points and Amir Turner added 10 for Moon (17-4, 8-3) against West Allegheny (7-13, 2-9) in Section 4-5A. Ty Blatz led the Indians with 12 points.
Mt. Lebanon 73, Imani Christian 61 – Liam Sheely and Sam Deibert scored 19 points apiece to lead Mt. Lebanon (14-6, 9-4) to a Section 2-6 win. Santino Fiumara scored 16 points and Jacob Zaber had 13 for the Blue Devils. RJ Sledge led all scorers with 26 points and Deston Hubbard drained five 3-pointers and put up 25 points for Imani Christian (12-7, 10-3).
Nazareth Prep 87, Cornell 35 – Will Evans and Michael Keyes scored 18 points apiece, Zach Frye sank four 3-pointers and finished with 16 points while Leon Harrison added 12 points for Nazareth Prep (16-4, 9-0) in a Section 1-1A win. Edmundo Benitez dropped 17 points to lead Cornell (3-17, 1-8).
Neighborhood Academy 84, Serra Catholic 58 – Courtney Wallace produced a triple-double with 22 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists to lead four players in double figures for Neighborhood Academy (20-1, 9-0) in a Section 2-A win. Kedron Gilmore scored 24 points, Syncer Nicholson added 15 and Shamir Simpson finished with 11 for Neighborhood Academy. Owen Dumbroski dropped 21 points, Brayden Graham had 14 and Kris Sharp and Mark Johnson each finished with 11 for Serra Catholic (16-3, 7-2).
Neshannock 59, Laurel 44 – David Kwiat and Tony Perrotta each scored 13 points to pace Neshannock (17-2, 12-1) to a Section 4-2A win. Jake Rynd added 12 points and Geoffrey Measel had 10 for the Lancers. Jayden Iorio led Laurel (10-10, 4-8) with 16 points.
New Castle 58, Fox Chapel 41 – Damian Harrison and Qualin Davis scored 12 points apiece and Ralphie Blundo and Kai Cox added 11 points apiece to lead New Castle (16-3, 10-3) to a Section 1-6A win. John Rehak scored 14 points and Asher White had 12 for Fox Chapel (15-5, 10-3). Kyrell Harris added 10 points for the Red Hurricanes.
Norwin 55, Canon-McMillan 51 – Alex Graney scored 13 points and King Carver added 11 for Norwin (10-10, 6-7) in a Section 2-6A win. Roman Koenemund scored 13 points and Dylan Kelly had 11 for Canon-McMillan (4-16, 2-11).
OLSH 60, Rochester 29 – Tiernan McCullough scored 17 points, Jake Johnson had 14 and Lucca Grisafi added 10 for OLSH (16-5, 11-2) in a Section 4-2A win. Nate Bills scored 17 points for Rochester (5-15, 2-11).
Penn Hills 68, Propel Braddock Hills 30 – Amon Hawthorne, Calix Clark and Cato Cahill scored 11 points apiece to lead Penn Hills (10-8) to a nonsection win. Elijah Bagsby-Thornton and Raymon Russell scored eight points each for Propel Braddock Hills (2-19).
Peters Township 77, Ringgold 45 – Dylan Donovan drained six 3-pointers and scored 20 points, Sean Thelk produced 15 points with five 3-pointers and Nick McCullough had 12 points for Peters Township (14-6, 8-3) in a Section 3-5A win. Dennis Hawkins dropped 13 points and Szyair Dungee added 11 for Ringgold (4-15, 0-10).
Seton LaSalle 52, Apollo-Ridge 31 – Keenu Brooks scored 14 points and DayVaughn Williams added 10 to lead Seton LaSalle (8-11, 5-4) to a Section 3-3A win. Zane Beatty scored 15 points for Apollo-Ridge (5-15, 1-8).
Shady Side Academy 56, Steel Valley 42 – Seamus Riordan scored 15 points and Paul Benec added 13 to help Shady Side Academy (7-12, 5-4) to a Section 3-3A win. Nate Yuhas scored 20 to lead Steel Valley (3-16, 1-8).
South Allegheny 68, South Park 39 – Drew Cook made four 3-pointers and had 25 points to lead South Allegheny (18-2, 9-0) to a Section 3-3A win. Cam Epps also drained four 3s and finished with 15 points and Josh Jackowski added 13 for the Gladiators. Zach Britton and Cooper Hochendoner each scored 10 points for South Park (14-6, 6-3).
Southmoreland 59, Mt. Pleasant 44 – Noah Felentzer led all scorers with 20 points, Ty Whoric added 12 and Elliot Premus chipped in with 10 as Southmoreland (16-4, 9-0) beat Mt. Pleasant (0-21, 0-9) in Section 4-3A. Kade Hutchinson scored 18 points and Jonah Townsend had 10 for the Vikings.
Springdale 60, Frazier 43 – Liam Dexter scored 17 points and Robby Simmen added 13 to lead Springdale (13-7, 7-6) to a Section 1-2A win. Dailan McManus and Kolby Stewart each scored 16 for Frazier (5-16, 2-11).
Union 66, South Side 35 – Lucas Stanley went off for 34 points and made six 3-pointers to lead Union (16-5, 10-3) to a Section 4-2A win. Landon Eckert added 13 points for the Scotties. Junior Andrew Corfield scored 11 points, including his 1,000th career point, for South Side (11-10, 5-8). Carter Wilson also added 11 points for the Rams.
Uniontown 70, Laurel Highlands 63 – Calvin Winfrey scored 23 points and Notorious Grooms and Kelan Milsom added 14 points apiece to push Uniontown (18-3, 13-0) to a Section 1-5A win. Antwan Black scored 24 points and Aiden Black had 17 for Laurel Highlands (5-15, 2-11).
Upper St. Clair 55, Hempfield 38 – Tyler Robbins scored 18 points and Ryan Robbins added 10 to lead Upper St. Clair (19-2, 12-1) to a Section 2-6A win. Dylan Firmstone led Hempfield (8-12, 3-10) with eight points.
West Mifflin 62, East Allegheny 60 – Davin Reynolds dropped 20 points to lead West Mifflin (7-13, 6-5) to a Section 3-4A win over East Allegheny (5-15, 2-9). Jayden Patterson put up 21 points and Cedrick Mack followed with 20 for the Wildcats.
Winchester Thurston 74, Leechburg 47 – Matt Southers scored 22 points to lead Winchester Thurston (14-5, 7-3) to a Section 2-2A win. Anthony Pipkin added 17, Michael Hammerling had 15 and Aiden Piemme chipped in 11 for the Bears. Rocco Vigna scored 15 for Leechburg (3-17, 2-9).
Woodland Hills 53, Seneca Valley 51 – Donshae Mosley put up 17 points, Scoop Smith added 11 and Landon Akins and Calvin Barksdale each scored 10 for Woodland Hills (10-11, 5-8) in a Section 1-6A win. Owen Congdon led all scorers with 18 points and Tyler Pepin finished with 16 for Seneca Valley (11-10, 8-5).

Allderdice 86, Westinghouse 16 – Bailey White scored 33 points to lead four players in double figures for Allderdice (15-5, 8-0) in a City League win. Seena Teshome added 15 and Peyton Lynch and Rhyan Sledge each had 11 for the Dragons. Alaya Worthy led Westinghouse (4-14, 0-8) with seven points.
Baldwin 52, Bethel Park 40 – Julianne Ott scored 19 points to lead Baldwin (12-8, 7-4) to a Section 4-5A win. Ella Sabatos scored 14 points and Kat Boff had nine for Bethel Park (10-10, 6-5).

Erica Rodriguez and Avery Jones each had 10 points for the Centurions. Amari Randall led Steel Valley (2-18, 2-10) with 12 points.
Hopewell 50, Lincoln Park 33 – Caylee Sundy led with 18 points, Alyssa Spang followed with 12 and Avery Boyd added 11 for Hopewell (8-12, 5-6) in a Section 2-4A win. Patty Weslowski scored 17 points for Lincoln Park (4-17, 1-10).
Keystone Oaks 51, Brownsville 30 – Natalie Tortorella sank five 3-pointers and finished with 17 points, Hannah York produced 15 and Alayna Wagner finished with 10 for Keystone Oaks (17-1, 10-1) in a Section 3-3A victory. Zhariah Reed and Ava Clark scored 13 points apiece for Brownsville (13-9, 5-7).
North Allegheny 58, North Hills 48 – Vange Balouris scored 15 points and Rosalia Varlotta added 13 to push North Allegheny (9-10, 5-4) to a Section 1-6A win. Delaney Amato scored 20 points and Zoe Devlin had 13 for North Hills (6-14, 2-7).
North Catholic 67, Knoch 35 – Harmony Jones scored 15 points, Brady Wehner had 13 and Sam Weir added 12 to lead North Catholic (17-3, 11-1) to a Section 1-4A win. Neah Ewing scored 11 points for Knoch (10-10, 9-4).

Peters Township 63, Uniontown 19 – Natalie Wetzel scored 15 points and Jordyn Welsh contributed 12 to help Peters Township (18-2, 11-0) clinch sole possession of the Section 4-5A title. Charley Murtha led Uniontown (5-15, 1-10) with 11 points.
West Greene 56, Carmichaels 16 – Madelyn Roberts scored 12 points and Marissa Tharp added 10 for West Greene (13-7, 6-6) in a Section 2-1A win. Joselyn Carter had six points to pace Carmichaels (2-18, 2-7).
Wrestling
Chestnut Ridge 43, Derry 22 – Chestnut Ridge (13-2) won the first five bouts and went on to defeat Derry (15-4) in a Class 2A first-round match. Anthony Mucci (133) won by fall, Mason Horwat (160) and Ewan Olson (172) earned tech falls and Brady Brown (215) won by forfeit for the Trojans.
Connellsville 57, DuBois 18 – Julian Ruggieri (145), Evan Petrovich (152) and Lonzy Vielma (160) opened the match with three straight pins to lead Connellsville (12-2) to a PIAA Class 3A first-round win over DuBois (13-4). Cooper Lembo (172) won a decision and Tyler Gallis (285), Tommy Gretz (107), Nolan Rice (121), Daniel Smith (127), Jake Lilley (133) and Kai Vielma (139) recorded pins for the Falcons.
Corry 41, McGuffey 24 – Corry (19-2) won the first four bouts and the last four bouts to defeat McGuffey (13-6) in the PIAA Class 2A first round. Tucker Main (121) won by fall, Lucas Barr (139) by tech fall, Lane Ealy (127) by major decision and Emmett Wolfe (133) by decision for the Highlanders.
Hockey
Cathedral Prep 5, Norwin 1 – Mathius Sprickman and Tucker Kinnear each scored a goal and had a pair of assists to lead Cathedral Prep (13-4) to a Class 2A win. Rylan Sorge and Chris Bruschi each had a goal and an assist and Brady Sack added a goal for the Ramblers. Brody Boban scored for Norwin (1-15-1).
McDowell 7, Westmont Hilltop 1 – Harrison Parra had two goals and an assist and Evan Stachera and Brenden Margraves also scored twice to lead McDowell (6-11) to a Class A win. Colby Carlson scored for Westmont Hilltop (1-16-1).
North Catholic 1, Indiana 0 (SO) – Wyatt Cleveland made 26 saves to lead North Catholic (12-5) to a shootout victory in Class A. Luke Rowe made 29 saves for Indiana (8-6-4).
Seneca Valley 1, Peters Township 0 – Andrew Malichky scored the lone goal of the game as Seneca Valley (12-3) won a Class 3A contest. Christopher Nichols made 24 saves for the shutout for the Raiders. Jack Fazio stopped 31 shots for Peters (5-10-2).
West Allegheny 7, Richland 4 – Branden Switalski recorded a hat trick and John Weiland added a pair of goals and three assists to lead West Allegheny (7-10) to a Class A win. Colton Romano and Chase Noel each had a goal for the Indians. Wesley Dunlap and Talon Urbanek each scored two goals for Richland (1-17).
