Latrobe boys basketball will not play in the MLK Weekend Stand Against Violence Showcase at Woodland Hills.

The WPIAL Class 6A No. 1-ranked Wildcats (12-2) were scheduled to play District 1 Abington (12-1) at 2 p.m. Saturday as part of the 35-team, three-day event.

But Latrobe shut down all school-related activities Saturday because of the pending snowstorm so district teams are not permitted to travel.

Woodland Hills plans to play the showcase as planned, with a few tweaks to the schedule.

Latrobe coach Brad Wetzel said it probably is too deep into the season to schedule another game.
