Ligonier Valley senior Robby Patrick received a No. 1 seed at 170 pounds for the PIAA Class AA Southwest Regional on Friday and Saturday at IUP.

Patrick (27-0) won his fourth PIAA District 6 title Saturday at Altoona. He is a two-time PIAA Class AA runner-up. He and Jefferson-Morgan senior Gavin Teasdale (126) are looking to become four-time regional champions.

The Southwest Regional pits wrestlers from the WPIAL and Districts 5 and 6. The top six will advance to the PIAA individual championships from March 8-10 at Giant Center in Hershey.

The WPIAL's top seeds were Quaker Valley freshman Connor Redinger (31-1) at 106, Burrell freshman Ian Oswalt (39-7) at 120, Teasdale (32-2) at 126 and South Side Beaver senior Joe Demor (37-1) at 145.

Teasdale captured his fourth WPIAL title and is seeking his fourth Southwest Regional title. He is a three-time PIAA Class AA champion.

Other returning champions are St. Joseph Academy's Jacob Powers at 120, Chestnut Ridge's Justin McCoy at 152, Bishop McCort's Anthony Walters at 220 and Bishop McCort heavyweight Josiah Jones.

Walters and Jones are looking to become three-time champions.
