Norwin junior Jessica Kolesar had a busy weekend at the PIAA Class AAA track and field championships at Shippensburg on May 25 and 26.

She competed in three events against the best in the state and walked away with a seventh-place medal in the long jump. Her jump of 17 feet, 8 inches was just under her qualifying leap of 17-9¾.

She also ran in the 200-meters and was member of the 400 relay team. She ran 25.87 seconds in the 200 prelims after running a 25.16 at the WPIAL meet May 17.

Junior Emily Brozeski ran in the 100 and 300 hurdles and just missed advancing to the semifinals.

She also was on the 400 relay team.

Junior Lexi Gray competed in the triple jump and posted a mark of 33-11¾. She had jumped 35-10 at the WPIAL meet.

The 1,600 boys relay team, which won a PIAA title in 2017, ran a 49.45 but failed to qualify for the finals. The only returning member of that team was junior Gianni Rizzo.
