Philipsburg-Osceola blanks Ligonier Valley softball in District 6 semifinals

Kendra Carns' RBI double in the bottom of the second inning provided all the scoring Thursday afternoon in a District 6-3A semifinal softball game.

Hannah Minarchick came around to score and give No. 1-seeded Philipsburg-Osceola a 1-0 victory over Ligonier Valley.

Kam Harris allowed just three hits and struck out five to earn the win for P-O (19-1), which will play for a district title May 30.

Abi Cmar, Kaylee Colt and Taylor Bojtos had hits for the Rams, who finished the season 16-5. Jane Garver threw a four-hitter with two strikeouts in the loss.
