With the season opener 75 days away, Pitt announced 19 additions to the football roster Monday.

The list includes seven freshman from the early signing period in December, three specialists plus Latrobe defensive back John Wetzel — who committed this year — three transfers and five freshman walk-ons.

Two WPIAL products are among the transfers.

Ty Banco, a 6-foot-1, 330-pound offensive lineman, is a redshirt sophomore transfer from Texas A&M. In high school at Trinity, he was a finalist for the Bill Fralic Award, given to the top lineman in the WPIAL.

Cam Rosinsky, a 6-1, 240-pound redshirt sophomore defensive lineman, is transferring in from Sacred Heart. He is a South Fayette graduate.

The Panthers are also adding 5-11, 186-pound sixth-year defensive back Marcus Serrano from Chowan University.

The list of five freshman walk-ons also includes two WPIAL products.

Josh Nindl is a 6-3, 290-pound offensive lineman from Pine-Richland, and Valdez Stuvaints is a 5-10, 188-pound defensive back from McKeesport.

Other freshman walk-ons are 6-3, 209-pound quarterback Beau Jackson from West Bloomfield, Mich.; 6-1, 191-pound linebacker Emory Fluhr from Lampeter-Strasburg; and 6-1, 275-pound defensive lineman Charlie Donehue from Olentangy Liberty in Ohio.

Wetzel, a 5-11, 200-pound safety, switched his commitment from Marshall to Pitt in May.

The other three 2025 commits are specialists: kicker Trey Butkowski from Lake Nona (Fla.), punter Kaemon Tijerina from Redford Union (Mich.) and long snapper Henry Searcy from Lawton Chiles (Fla.).

The seven players from the early signing period in December who were added to the roster include one WPIAL player: 6-4, 285-pound offensive lineman Shep Turk from Thomas Jefferson.

The others are 5-10, 190-pound running back Jaylin Brown from Cardinal Newman (Fla.); 6-4, 325-pound offensive lineman Torian Chester from Westover (Ga.); 6-4, 260-pound offensive lineman Jordan Fields from North Shore (Texas); 5-7, 165-pound running back Synkwan Smith from Roswell (Ga.); 6-2, 250-pound defensive lineman Trevor Sommers from St. Thomas Aquinas (Fla.); and 6-1, 190-pound defensive back Cole Woodson from Battlefield (Va.).
