Like the weather, the Trib 10 girls basketball rankings were nearly frozen in time.

The 10 girls power-ranked teams were a combined 16-2 last week, with both losses coming to fellow ranked teams.

Greensburg Central Catholic fell to No. 3 Shady Side Academy in a Section 2-3A showdown, and Thomas Jefferson fell to No. 4 Upper St. Clair in a 5A vs. 6A nonsection battle.

On the boys side, there was also a clash of Trib 10 teams as New Castle pulled away from Fox Chapel in a Section 1-6A clash.

Aliquippa lost twice, but both defeats were to hoop powers from outside of District 7.

The only change in the entire power rankings was Jeannette falling from the boys side after a loss to rival Greensburg Central Catholic and South Allegheny soaring into the Trib 10, debuting at No. 6.

The top teams remain the same with Montour surviving Moon to stay at No. 1 on the boys side and Peters Township remaining on top for the girls.
