For the first time in 20 years and only the fourth time in the 124-year history of the boys hoops state playoffs, District 7 teams captured gold in half of the six classifications.
It was a repeat performance for Lincoln Park in Class 4A and Imani Christian Academy in Class A as the two District 7 teams won back-to-back PIAA titles, while after finishing second in 2023, Aliquippa swept Class 2A district and state titles in the same school year the football team accomplished the same rare feat.
District 12 had two winners in the state playoffs as Imhotep Charter won it all in 5A and Devon Prep won gold in 3A.
The Class 6A state champion from 2024 was Central York from District 3.
In the debut Trib HSSN poll for the 2025 PIAA boys basketball season, the teams starting at No. 1 are Roman Catholic in 6A, Monsignor Bonner-Archbishop Prendergast, Devon Prep, Aliquippa, Linville Hill Christian and Neighborhood Academy.
