There were big changes in the highest classification this week in the Trib HSSN girls basketball state rankings, but just minor tweaks to the other five classifications.
In Class 6A, both the top two ranked teams from the debut rankings slipped all the way out of the top 5 this week.
Central Dauphin lost to the District 6 duo of Altoona and State College. The Rams were replaced by undefeated District 3 foe Red Lion.
No. 2 Cardinal O’Hara was replaced by the team it lost to in Upper Dublin.
Other than that, only Neumann-Goretti in 4A and Williamsburg in Class A lost their spots in the state rankings, replaced by North Catholic and Elk County Catholic.
Outside of undefeated Hazleton moving up to the top spot in 6A, the other five No. 1 teams remain the same from last week in Peters Township in 5A, Scranton Prep in 4A, Shady Side Academy in 3A, Kennedy Catholic in 2A and Bishop Guilfoyle in A.
