Here’s a look at four players to watch this week during the second week of the WPIAL playoffs:

Legend Davis

Charleroi, Jr., WR/S

Davis (5-11, 185) caught six passes for 110 yards and a touchdown and also had two interceptions to help No. 4 Charleroi earn a 35-21 win over No. 13 Riverside in the WPIAL Class 2A first round last week. The Cougars will play No. 5 Mohawk in the quarterfinals Friday.

Andrew Franklin

South Fayette, Jr., RB

Franklin (5-11, 180) ran for 162 yards on nine carries to help South Fayette defeat No. 7 Greensburg Salem in the WPIAL Class 4A first round. He scored on an 84-yard run in the first quarter. The second-seeded Lions will play No. 3 Belle Vernon in the semifinals Friday.

Chance Liptak

Blackhawk, Sr., QB

Liptak completed 7 of 11 passes for 185 yards and three touchdowns, as No. 4 Blackhawk defeated No. 5 West Mifflin in the WPIAL Class 4A first round last week. The Cougars will take on No. 1 Thomas Jefferson on Friday.

Austin Wigley

OLSH, Sr., RB/DB

Though the OLSH offense is known for its high-flying passing attack, Wigley has offered balance in the ground game, rushing for 105 yards and two touchdowns in last week’s 60-6 win over No. 6 Imani Christian in the WPIAL Class A first round. The Chargers will play No. 2 Clairton in the semifinals.
