The WPIAL is searching for new venues to host its softball and cross country championships.

California University of Pennsylvania has renovations planned for its softball field and won't be able to host the high school championships this spring, WPIAL executive director Tim O'Malley said, so the WPIAL is seeking an alternate site.

Seton Hill or Pitt are possible options.

The six WPIAL softball championship games are scheduled over two days May 30-31.

Separately, the WPIAL was notified that Cooper's Lake Campground is no longer interested in hosting its cross country championship meet.

The cross country finals are in October.
