11 from WPIAL chosen for Big 33 Football Classic

Central Catholic teammates David Green, Khalil Weathers and Liam Slattery were among the players picked to represent Pennsylvania in the 61st annual Big 33 Football Classic.

In all, 11 WPIAL seniors were announced Tuesday.

The all-star game is June 16 at Central Dauphin School District’s Landis Field near Harrisburg. Kickoff is 7 p.m.

As usual, Western Pennsylvania was well-represented on the offensive and defensive lines, with Green, North Allegheny’s Derek Devine, Trinity’s Ben Phillis, Central Valley’s Eric Neill, South Fayette’s Ray Eldridge and Thomas Jefferson’s Noah Palmer.

Also chosen from the WPIAL were McKeesport’s Layton Jordan, South Fayette’s Noah Plack-Tallerico and Woodland Hills’ Naszhir Taylor.
