Two WPIAL linemen, South Fayette’s Tom Elia and Elizabeth Forward’s A.J. Ackerman, committed Wednesday night to FCS schools in the Colonial Athletic Association.

Both will be seniors in the fall.

Elia, a 6-foot-3, 275-pound guard, picked Richmond. Ackerman, a 6-6, 290-pound tackle, chose Towson.

Ackerman earned first-team all-conference honors in the Class 3A Interstate last season. Elia earned second-team honors in the Class 4A Northwest Nine.
