Collin Barkley
Derry, OL/DL, Sr.
The senior is considered by his coach the best overall player on the squad. A three-year starter, he rarely left the field and often squared off with larger foes. Though Derry struggled in the second-half of the season, Barkley helped the Trojans get off to a 3-2 start with wins over Freeport, Burrell and Indiana.
Macallister Bresnahan
Franklin Regional, TE/DE, Sr.
The senior led the team with 21 catches for 398 yards and four touchdowns. He had 24 tackles, eight for loss, and five sacks. Class 5A Big East Conference coaches picked him to the all-conference first team as a defensive end after he helped the Panthers finish 8-4 overall.
Samir Crosby
Greensburg Central Catholic, QB/S, Jr.
The dynamic junior rushed for 1,060 yards, scored 18 touchdowns and completed 81 of 146 passes for 1,481 yards and 20 touchdowns. He had 67 tackles and five interceptions and was one of five in the running for Trib Westmoreland player of the year. He was selected the Class A Eastern Conference offensive player of the year, a first-team selection at quarterback and kick returner and second-team pick at safety.
Kole Doppelheuer
Belle Vernon, RB/LB, Sr.
The senior rushed for 699 yards and caught 19 passes for 361 yards and 14 touchdowns. He’s also an outstanding wrestler. Doppelheuer was named an all-conference running back and linebacker by the Class 4A Big 6 Conference coaches after helping the Leopards finish 4-5 overall and third in the Big East at 3-2.
Andrew Devola
Franklin Regional, G/DT, Sr.
He was a dominating lineman on both sides of the ball. He opened holes for Kyle Dupill on offense and recorded 69 tackles, 12 tackles for loss and six sacks. Devola was rewarded for his efforts with selection to the Class 5A Big East all-conference team as a first-team defensive tackle.
Kyle Dupill
Franklin Regional, RB, Sr.
He was one of five finalists for the player of the year. He rushed for 1,793 yards and 15 touchdowns. Dupill led Class 5A in rushing. He was selected as a first-team running back on the Class 5A Big East all-conference team. He helped guide Franklin Regional to the WPIAL quarterfinals.
Jarett Garn
Mt. Pleasant, RB/WR/DB/K, Sr.
He rushed for 443 yards, had 19 catches for 489 yards, scored 13 touchdowns and made five field goals and 23 extra points. He also had 32 tackles and three interceptions. One of his highlight-reel catches was featured on ESPN.
Brock Heisler
Hempfield, OL/DL, Jr.
The junior is a dominating lineman with numerous NCAA Division I offers. He was a first-team Class 6A defensive tackle. He had 39 tackles, five tackles for a loss and a sack.
Landon Honick
Greensburg Central Catholic, WR/DB, Jr.
He was Samir Crosby’s main target in the passing game. He had 37 catches for 737 yards and 12 touchdowns. He also had 33 tackles, one interception and four passes defensed. Honick was selected to the Class A Eastern Conference first team as a wide receiver and cornerback.
John Jablunovsky
Ligonier Valley, RB/DB, Sr.
The senior rushed for 1,243 yards and scored 18 touchdowns. He was a three-year starter. Jablunovsky was a first-team all-conference selection at fullback and second-team defensive back and kick returner in the Class 2A Allegheny Conference.
TyVaughn Kershaw
Monessen, RB/QB/DB, Jr.
What didn’t Kershaw do? He rushed for 1,580 yards and 20 touchdowns, completed 16 of 26 passes for 350 yards and four scores, made 11 catches for 239 yards and four touchdowns, returned three kickoffs for touchdowns and had one punt return for a score. He was one of five up for player of the year honors.
Raidon Kuroda
Yough, QB/LB, Sr.
The senior had quite a season for the Cougars. He completed 100 of 201 passes for 1,388 yards and 15 touchdowns. He rushed for 1,006 yards and 13 touchdowns. He had 71 tackles and three sacks.
Jayce Powell
Jeannette, WR/DB, So.
The sophomore had a strong season with 57 catches for 1,035 yards. He finished with 1,440 all-purpose yards. Powell was selected second-team all-conference in the Class A Eastern Conference.
Elliot Premus
Southmoreland, WR/S, Sr.
This outstanding senior had 49 catches for 886 yards and 11 touchdowns. He had 55 tackles, including 30 solo and eight for losses, three sacks and two interceptions.
Dom Rosensteel
Greensburg Salem, WR/DB, Sr.
The senior had 34 catches for 538 yards and 10 touchdowns. He also made 75 tackles and had three interceptions. Rosensteel was selected a second-team all-conference wide receiver in the Class 3A Interstate Conference.
Ethan Septak
Penn-Trafford, G/DL, Sr.
Earned all-conference honors for the second consecutive season. Moved from center to guard and played fantastic, according to coach John Ruane. He also plays baseball.
Ethan Shawley
Southmoreland, RB/LB, Sr.
The senior had 88 tackles, 18 for losses and five sacks and forced two fumbles. He rushed for 360 yards and scored four touchdowns. He had seven catches for 124 yards and a touchdown. Shawley was selected as a first-team all-conference inside linebacker in the Class 3A Interstate Conference after helping the Scotties reach the WPIAL playoffs and finish 7-4 overall.
Anthony Smith
Southmoreland, QB, Fr.
The freshman completed 129 of 244 passes for a school-record 2,110 yards and 22 touchdowns. He scored four touchdowns. He helped the Scotties finish second in the conference and qualify for the playoffs. Smith capped off his first high school season with an honorable mention selection to the Class 3A Interstate Conference all-conference team.
Alex Tatsch
Latrobe, RB/LB, Sr.
The Penn State commit had his season shortened by injury. He still rushed for 716 yards and scored 10 touchdowns. He had 40 tackles, 11 tackles for loss and one interception. Tatsch was a first-team all-conference selection in the Class 5A Big East Conference at the at-large position.
Andy Tatsch
Latrobe, WR/DB, Jr.
The junior had 26 catches for 438 yards and four touchdowns. He returned an interception for a touchdown and had two tackles for losses. Tatsch, Alex’s brother, was named a first-team all-conference defensive back in the Class 5A Big East Conference after helping Latrobe finish 5-6 and qualify for the WPIAL playoffs.
Tristyn Tavares
Norwin, QB, Jr.
Despite being slowed by injuries, the junior completed 101 of 199 passes for 1,210 yards and eight touchdowns. He also rushed for 293 yards and scored a team-high eight touchdowns. Tavares was recognized by the Class 6A coaches with a first-team all-conference selection at quarterback.
Kellan Taylor
Penn-Trafford, T/DL, Sr.
He had a big season setting the edge for the running game and was an all-conference section. He also had 25 tackles, four for losses, and two sacks. Taylor was selected as a first-team all-conference offensive tackle by the coaches in the Class 5A Big East Conference.
John Wetzel
Latrobe, QB/LB/DB, Sr.
This Marshall commit completed 68 of 125 passes for 914 yards and six touchdowns. He also rushed for 1,076 yards and eight touchdowns. He had 81 tackles, five for losses, and returned an interception for a touchdown. Wetzel was selected a first-team all-conference defensive back in the Class 5A Big East Conference.
Tasso Whipple
Penn-Trafford, RB/LB, Sr.
The senior rushed for 1,716 yards and scored 14 touchdowns. He caught 17 passes for 262 yards. He also had 73 tackles, four for losses, and had two sacks.
