How they got here: District 1 champion Radnor defeated Susquehannock, 1-0, in the first round; Abington Heights, 1-0, in the quarterfinals; and Lower Dauphin, 1-0, in the semifinals. WPIAL runner-up South Fayette beat Hollidaysburg, 5-0, in the first round; Cocalico, 4-3 in overtime, in the quarterfinals; and DuBois, 6-1, in the semifinals.

PIAA titles: Radnor 1 (1999); South Fayette 0
Corner kicks: Radnor is in the PIAA championship game for the third time, winning in 1999 and falling to Mars in double overtime in 2021. Midfielder Ailsa Gilmour scored the lone goal off her own corner kick in the 72nd minute for Radnor in its semifinal win over Lower Dauphin. Her kick into the box bounced back to her and she hit a floater into the net off the back post. Keeper Maddie Lynn earned the cleansheet. The Raptors have posted seven straight shutouts, including a 1-0 victory over Strath Haven in the District 1 championship game. … The Lions are making their first PIAA championship appearance. South Fayette has outscored opponents 15-4 in the PIAA playoffs. In the semifinal win over DuBois, Mia Deramo had two goals and two assists, and Quinn Miller had a goal and two assists. The Lions, who won district titles in 2023 and ‘24, lost to Fox Chapel, 1-0, in WPIAL championship game. Last season, South Fayette lost to Mars in the PIAA quarterfinals. Six Lions were named to the All-WPIAL team last month — Gabby Beinecke, Deramo, Maria Gabriel, Miller, Abby Spalla and Caitlyn Thompson.
