The journey to Cumberland Valley is complete as the 2025 PIAA football championship games are now set.
This is the 10th state finals in the six classification era.
The WPIAL will send three teams to Mechanicsburg for only the second time since the expansion to six classes.
The other time was in 2019 when Thomas Jefferson brought home Class 4A gold while Central Valley in 3A and Avonworth in 2A settled for state silver.
Only two teams from District 7 played in the PIAA finals a year ago with both Central Catholic and Avonworth falling in their 2024 title games.
The Vikings and Antelopes return to Chapman Field this year, joined by Clairton from the WPIAL.
Three teams have a chance to repeat — Bishop McDevitt in 5A, Northwestern Lehigh in 3A and Bishop Guilfoyle Academy in Class A.
The 2025 PIAA championships at Chapman Field at Cumberland Valley High School will take place Thursday through Saturday.
