5 WPIAL boys teams reach PIAA basketball semifinals

So far this season, Sewickley Academy and Our Lady of the Sacred Heart played one another for the section title and the WPIAL title.
The state final is next, but only for one.
The rivals will meet for the fourth time this season at 7 p.m., Tuesday in a PIAA Class 2A semifinal at Peters Township.
The teams' first three games were decided by a combined 11 points. OLSH (25-3) won the first 70-68, and Sewickley Academy (24-4) won the next two 66-61 and 63-59.
Sewickley is the defending state champion.
The WPIAL had five boys basketball teams reach the state semifinals. Sites and times for Class 6A, 3A and 2A were announced Sunday.

2-1 Hazleton (26-1) vs. 12-1 Lincoln (24-6) at Liberty HS, 7:30 p.m.

7-1 Mars (24-4) vs. 3-1 Milton Hershey (26-3) at Altoona HS, 7 p.m.
2-1 Abington Heights (25-3) vs. 12-1 Bonner-Pendergast (25-4) at Bethlehem Freedom, 7:30 p.m.

7-2 Quaker Valley (26-1) vs. 10-1 Sharon (26-2) at New Castle HS, 7 p.m.
11-1 Bethlehem Catholic (28-3) vs. 12-1 Imhotep Charter (29-2) at Geigle Complex, Reading, 6 p.m.
