Freedom wrestling bows out of state tournament

HERSHEY — Freedom is still searching for its first win in the PIAA Class AA team wrestling tournament after going 0-2 this week at the Giant Center.

The Bulldogs, who are 0-5 in school history in the state tournament, were eliminated after a 39-24 loss to Greenville on Friday.

Freedom (9-6) rallied to take a 24-21 lead but lost the final four bouts, including two by pins.

Bryson Miller (195 pounds), Kenny Duschek (138) and Jacob Pail (145) had pins for Freedom, the WPIAL runner-up.

Tim Cafrelli (113), Josh Pail (120) and ZJ Ward (126) also had wins for the Bulldogs.

Freedom lost nine bouts, including five by pins or forfeits.
