WPIAL Class 3A football roundup: DelRon White’s 249 yards help West Mifflin take down Beaver

DelRon White ran for 249 yards and caught a 23-yard touchdown pass from Jo Fleming as West Mifflin scored a 28-16 upset over No. 4 Beaver (4-1, 1-1) in a Class 3A Western Hills Conference football matchup Friday night.

Fleming threw for 163 yards and three touchdowns and ran 25 yards for another score for the Titans (2-3, 1-0).

Travis Clear thew for 149 yards and a touchdown for Beaver.

Avonworth 45, South Park 0 — In the Western Hills Conference, Carson Bellinger threw for 268 yards and four touchdowns to lead No. 3 Avonworth (5-0, 2-0) to victory at South Park (3-2, 0-2). Andrew Kuban caught eight passes for 147 yards and a touchdown.

Seton LaSalle 42, Hopewell 7 — O’Malley Daly rushed for 150 yards and four touchdowns to lead Seton LaSalle (4-1, 2-0) to the Western Hills Conference win over Hopewell (1-4, 0-2).

East Allegheny 42, Greensburg Salem 0 — Michael Cahill threw four first-half touchdown passes, two to Brennan Rutledge and two to Stevie Yusko, as East Allegheny (3-2) beat Greensburg Salem (1-4) in a nonconference game. Lorenzo Fancher ran for a score and Tanner Loya had a touchdown catch for the Wildcats.

Valley 38, Uniontown 6 — Darnell Coaston had two touchdown runs, a 55-yarder and a 2-yarder, as Valley (2-3) pulled away from Uniontown (2-3) for a nonconference win. Chuck Perkins had an 11-yard scoring run and Dorian Briggs caught a 4-yard TD pass from Tristin Goodwin for the Vikings. Demetrius Ballard returned a fumble 29 yards for a score, and Conner Sakala recovered a fumble in the end zone. K’Adrian McLee had a 67-yard TD run for the Red Raiders.

South Side 47, Quaker Valley 7 – Ryan Navarra ran for 132 yards and two scores as Class A No. 2 South Side (5-0) won a nonconference game over Class 3A Quaker Valley (0-5). Broady Almashy threw two touchdown passes for South Side. Benjamin McHenry returned a kickoff for a score for the Quakers.
