WPIAL Class 3A football roundup: Freshman Armand Hill carries West Mifflin past South Park

A week after running for nearly 500 yards, freshman Armand Hill rushed for 201 yards and three touchdowns as West Mifflin scored a 35-0 win at South Park (6-4, 3-3) to lock down second place in the Class 3A Western Hills Conference on Friday night.
Darnell Carswell and Jose Perez also scored touchdowns for the Titans (6-4, 5-1).
Knoch 40, Valley 0 — Ethan Allwine tied a school record with five touchdowns, including a 66-yard scoring pass from Codi Mullen, as Knoch (8-2, 4-1) defeated Valley (2-8, 0-5) in Class 2A Allegheny 6 Conference action. Knoch finished in second place in the conference a year after going 1-9 overall.
East Allegheny 41, Shady Side Academy 34 — No. 4 East Allegheny (8-2, 5-0) beat Shady Side Academy (5-5, 2-3) in Allegheny 6 Conference play. Even with the loss, Shady Side Academy clinched a playoff spot due to Freeport’s loss to Deer Lakes.
Greensburg Salem 44, South Allegheny 20 — In the Interstate Conference, Greensburg Salem (2-8, 1-4) beat South Allegheny (1-9, 0-5).
Avonworth 49, Quaker Valley 0 — Atticus Kardell ran for 113 yards and two touchdowns as No. 3 Avonworth (10-0, 6-0) clinched the Western Hills Conference title by defeating Quaker Valley (1-9, 1-5). Justin Beck added two touchdown runs.
Beaver 58, Hopewell 14 — Beaver (8-2, 4-2) beat Hopewell (1-9, 0-5) for the Western Hills Conference win.
Seton LaSalle 40, Sto-Rox 36 — O’Malley Daly ran for 109 yards and two touchdowns as Class 3A Seton LaSalle (5-5) defeated Class 2A Sto-Rox (2-7).
