The PIAA has released updated enrollment numbers for all sports, giving high school teams their first look at classifications for the 2024-25 and 2025-26 seasons.

The numbers were posted online Tuesday.

The PIAA realigns teams into new classifications every two years by evenly dividing them into two, three, four or six classes, depending on the sport. Football, basketball, baseball and softball have six classifications.

The PIAA lists released Tuesday are not finalized. Teams can voluntarily “play up” into a higher classification. The play-up deadline is Friday.

The lists also do not include moves forced by the PIAA competitive-balance rule. Those will be determined later, once each season has completed.
