Rachael Manfredo scored 17 points and Brooke Evans added 16 to lead McKeesport to a 53-40 victory over Thomas Jefferson in a matchup of top girls basketball teams in Section 3-5A on Monday night.

Maddy Hertzler had 12 for McKeesport (10-1, 4-0). Laekyn Flinn scored 17 points and Riley McCabe had 12 for Thomas Jefferson (5-7, 2-2).

Oakland Catholic 59, Penn-Trafford 44 – Raygen Hintmeyer scored 17 points, London Creach had 14 and Kaylee DeAngelo added 12 to lead Oakland Catholic (11-0, 4-0) to a Section 3-5A win. Olivia Pepple led Penn-Trafford (7-4, 2-2) with 23 points and Hanna Weishaar had 11.

Apollo-Ridge 57, Deer Lakes 36 – Sophie Yard scored 33 points and Jaden Mull added nine to lead Apollo-Ridge (6-7, 2-1) to a Section 3-3A win. Sophia Laurenza led Deer Lakes (4-8, 0-3) with 16 points.

Armstrong 55, Hampton 47 – Kyla Fitzgerald scored 14 points and Emma Paul and Marlo Mellish added 11 apiece to lead Armstrong (8-4, 3-2) to a Section 2-5A win. Meghan Murray led Hampton (6-6, 2-2) with 24 points.

Avonworth 57, Keystone Oaks 38 – Rebecca Goetz scored 21 points and Greta O’Brien followed with 20 for Avonworth (10-1, 3-0) in a Section 2-3A win. Bailey Reig led Keystone Oaks (9-3, 1-2) with 20 points.

Beaver County Christian 70, Propel Montour 37 – Audrey Michalik scored 18 points to lead four players in double figures for Beaver County Christian. Anna Witterman had 15, Briley Mozley 13 and Bella Hagberg 10. Brooklyn Sykes led Propel Montour with 20 points.

Beaver Falls 76, Laurel 40 – Cali Legzdin led Beaver Falls (8-3, 3-0) with 25 points and six 3-pointers, Avian Norman had 19 and Dreavan Haskins added 18 in a Section 1-3A win. Jael Henderson scored 15 points and Maya Jarrett had nine for Laurel (2-10, 0-3).

Blackhawk 79, Ambridge 17 – Alena Fusetti had 18 points, Piper Romigh scored 15 and Aubree Hupp finished with 12 for Blackhawk (11-2, 3-0) in a Section 2-4A win over Ambridge (2-12, 0-3).

Burgettstown 46, Fort Cherry 29 – Savanna Rush (15 points, 10 rebounds) and Kaitlyn Nease (12 points, 17 rebounds) had double-doubles to lead Burgettstown (6-8, 2-0) to a Section 2-2A win. Brooke Cornali led Fort Cherry (8-4, 2-1) with 10 points.

Burrell 54, Ligonier Valley 37 – Casey Brancato led with 15 points and Bella Stewart and Jules Fisher added 10 points apiece for Burrell (8-3, 2-1) in a Section 3-3A win over Ligonier Valley (4-8, 1-2). Sydnee Foust scored 13 and Marlee Miller added 11 for the Rams.

California 34, Bentworth 26 – Madyson Morton scored 12 points and Rakiyah Porter added 10 to lead California (6-4, 3-1) to a Section 4-2A win. Amber Sallee led Bentworth (3-10, 0-5) with 10 points.

Chartiers-Houston 63, Frazier 26 – Allison Wingard led with 18 points, Amelia Brose followed with 12 and Ava Capozzoli added 11 for Chartiers-Houston (8-4, 5-0) in a Section 4-2A win. Chloe Harger and Malana Burton scored 11 points each for Frazier (4-7, 1-3).

Chartiers Valley 44, Upper St. Clair 36 – Lilah Turnbull scored 14 points, including the first eight of the fourth quarter, to lead Chartiers Valley (10-1, 4-0) to a Section 2-6A win. Emma Reynolds added 10. Meredith Huzjak led Upper St. Clair (7-7, 1-3) with 17 points. Olivia Terlecki had 11.

Eden Christian 41, Bishop Canevin 28 – Hope Haring and Emmie Smith scored 11 points apiece to lead Eden Christian (6-6, 1-1) to a Section 1-A win. Kya Cooley scored nine points for Bishop Canevin (2-8, 0-2).

Elizabeth Forward 57, River Valley 42 – Michelle Jellison scored 20 points, Chloe Zombek added 17 and Alyssa Terza chipped in 10 to lead Elizabeth Forward (9-2) to a nonsection win. Ava Persichetti scored 17 and Alessia Lamentia added 10 for River Valley.

Ellis School 57, Steel Valley 23 – Taelor Spencer hit five 3-pointers and scored 27 points to lead Ellis School (6-7, 1-3) to a Section 3-2A win. Angelina Jones had a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds and Kallie Kristian added 11 points for Ellis. Ava Caiarelli led Steel Valley (0-12, 0-5) with nine points.

Ellwood City 65, Mohawk 46 – Claire Noble scored 20 points, Elsie Sturgeon followed with 19 and Kayla Jones added 18 to lead Ellwood City (9-4, 2-1) to a Section 1-3A win. Aricka Young led Mohawk (8-5, 1-2) with 11 points and Kiera Julian had 10.

Geibel 59, Mapletown 43 – Emma Larkin led Geibel (9-3, 2-1) with 29 points and Ava Henderson added 22 in a Section 2-A win. Isabella Carrek scored 16 points and McKenna Lotspeich had 15 for Mapletown (5-7, 2-1).

Greensburg Salem 43, Knoch 39 – Kait Mankins scored 14 points and Ashlan Price added 10 to lead Greensburg Salem (11-2, 3-1) to a Section 1-4A win. Naturelle Ewing led Knoch (6-5, 2-2) with 18 points.

Highlands 65, Derry 19 – Kalleigh Nerone and Kate Myers scored 14 points apiece, Jocelyn Bielak added 13 and Tyarah Woody had 12 to lead Highlands (8-3, 3-1) to a Section 1-4A win over Derry (4-9, 1-4).

Hopewell 49, Quaker Valley 32 – Avery Boyd scored 14 points and Maya Richburg added 10 to power Hopewell (6-6, 1-2) to a Section 2-4A win. Oumou “Mimi” Thiero led Quaker Valley (2-9, 2-1) with 25 points.

Indiana 54, Franklin Regional 39 – Bella Antonacci scored 20 points to lift Indiana (9-2, 4-0) to a Section 1-5A win. Toryn Fulton scored 13 and Chloe Pucka added 10 for Franklin Regional (2-9, 2-3).

Latrobe 65, Albert Gallatin 41 – Elle Snyder led with 30 points and Carley Berk added 13 for Latrobe (6-6, 2-2) in a Section 3-5A win. Mya Glisan scored 14 points and Mikayla Shea had 11 for Albert Gallatin (3-9, 0-5).

Laurel Highlands 33, Belle Vernon 28 – Aryianna Sumpter scored 13 points and Aierra Jenkins added 10 for Laurel Highlands (10-1, 3-1) in a Section 3-4A victory. Kenzi Seliga led Belle Vernon (6-6, 3-2) with 10.

Lincoln Park 48, Moon 46 – Sarah Scott scored 13 points, Maddie Syka had 12 and J’La Kizart added 10 to lead Lincoln Park (12-0, 3-0) past Moon (7-4, 0-3) in a Section 4-5A win. Gabby Merritt and Maria Depner scored 11 points apiece and Jaedin Griggs had 10 for the Tigers.

McGuffey 45, Brownsville 42 – Taylor Schumacher scored 20 points to lead McGuffey (10-2, 1-2) to a Section 4-3A win. Ava Clark and Skylar Gates scored 18 points apiece for Brownsville (7-5, 0-1).

Neshannock 53, Riverside 21 – Payton Newman scored 17 points to lead Neshannock (7-4, 3-0) to a Section 1-3A win. Delena Fox led Riverside (3-6, 0-3) with 11 points.

North Allegheny 62, Butler 43 – Lydia Betz led North Allegheny (8-1, 2-1) with 25 points, Caroline Henderson added 11 and Grace Heliger had 10 in a Section 1-6A win. Amelia McMichael scored 16 points and Jessica Chwalik had 15 for Butler (2-10, 0-3).

North Catholic 70, Valley 18 – Alayna Rocco scored 16 points, Sarah Loughry added 13 and Lauren Mihm had 11 for North Catholic (7-4, 5-0) in a Section 1-4A win. Ameria Simmons scored 10 points for Valley (0-12, 0-4).

OLSH 74, East Allegheny 9 – Claudia Ierullio scored 14 points to lead OLSH (9-4, 1-2) to a Section 2-3A win over East Allegheny (0-12, 0-3).

Plum 59, Penn Hills 55 – Megan Marston had 20 points and Pascale Olczak scored 15 to help Plum (8-4, 4-0) slip by Penn Hills (3-7, 2-3) in Section 1-5A. Cara Crawford scored 15 and Hannah Pugliese and Egypt Coleman added 14 apiece for the Indians.

Riverview 36, Jeannette 26 – Katerina Tsambis scored 12 points and Lily Bauer added 10 to help Riverview (10-2, 3-0) to victory in Section 3-A. Navarah Smith led Jeannette (5-5, 0-2) with 14 points.

Seneca Valley 47, Pine-Richland 41 – Natalie Hambly scored 17 points and Mikayla Canty netted 14 to help Seneca Valley (10-2, 3-0) edge Pine-Richland (2-8, 1-3) in Section 1-6A.

Serra Catholic 85, Clairton 48 – Nikki Sfanos scored 27 points to lead Serra Catholic (8-2, 3-1) to a Section 3-2A victory. Bri Battles (15 points, 10 rebounds) and Cate Clarke (14 points, 17 rebounds) had double-doubles and Abby Genes added 15 points. Iyanna Wade scored 37 points for Clairton (9-1, 3-1).

Seton LaSalle 64, South Allegheny 17 – Addie Lonergan scored 28 points, Mallory Daly followed with 21 and Tiara Curry added 10 for Seton LaSalle (9-3, 3-0) in a Section 2-3A win over South Allegheny (4-8, 1-2).

Sewickley Academy 51, New Brighton 22 – Libby Eannarino had 21 points while Emma Eannarino scored 13 for Sewickley Academy (4-5, 1-3) in a Section 1-2A win. Essie Hilton led New Brighton (0-10, 0-4) with nine points.

Shady Side Academy 64, Mt. Pleasant 20 – Maggie Spell scored 24 points and Karis Thomas had 20 to propel Shady Side Academy (9-2, 3-0) to a Section 3-3A win. Cassie Sauer added 14. Grace Arrigo led Mt. Pleasant (8-4, 1-2) with six.

South Fayette 69, Montour 44 – Juliette Leroux led South Fayette (7-4, 2-1) with 25 points, Erica Hall followed with 24 and Lainey Yater added 10 in a Section 4-5A win. Jordyn Wolfe scored 15 points and Sterling McCleaster and Tiffany Miller had 10 points apiece for Montour (5-6, 1-2).

South Park 68, Charleroi 29 – Hayley Bennett scored 18 points, Nika Contakos had 12 and Andrea Kuczma added 10 to lead South Park (7-3, 3-0) to a Section 4-3A win. Bella Carrotto led Charleroi (5-6, 0-3) with 15 points.

St. Joseph 74, Hillel Academy 8 – Julie Spinelli led four Spartans in double figures with 16 points in a Section 3-A victory over Hillel Academy (0-6, 0-3). Bella Horcicak had 13 points, Gia Richter finished with 12 and Kasey Cienik scored 10 for St. Joseph (10-2, 3-0).

Trinity 63, West Allegheny 41 – Macie Justice scored 12 points and Riley Corrins and Ruby Morgan added 10 points apiece to lead Trinity (10-1, 3-0) to a Section 4-5A win. Emma Ruperto led West Allegheny (5-7, 0-3) with 12 points.

Uniontown 70, Ringgold 37 – Emily Myers led Uniontown (3-7, 1-3) with 19 points, A’kira Dade followed with 18 and Lyric McLee added 12 in a Section 3-4A win. Rihanna Fordham scored 10 points for Ringgold (3-9, 0-4).

Waynesburg 37, Yough 31 – Kaley Rohanna and Avery Davis scored 12 points apiece and Waynesburg (12-1, 3-0) used a 5-0 scoring edge in the second quarter to take control in a Section 4-3A win. Autumn Matthews led Yough (6-5, 1-1) with 14 points.

West Mifflin 48, Southmoreland 19 – Savaughn Wimbs scored 20 points and Kendall Lee added 15 to lead West Mifflin (6-4, 4-0) to a Section 3-4A win. Bea Pawlikowsky scored eight points for Southmoreland (0-11, 0-4).

Winchester Thurston 46, Springdale 19 – Dashae Cochran scored 20 points and Jasmine Hollins added 12 for Winchester Thurston (6-5, 3-0) in a Section 3-2A win over Springdale (3-8, 0-3).

Boys basketball

Beaver County Christian 64, Propel Montour 48 – Hunter Mozley scored 30 points and Tyler Guevara chipped in 13 to lead Beaver County Christian. Jaiden Williams scored 17 and John Anderson added 14 for Propel Montour.

St. Joseph 39, Hillel Academy 34 – Charlie Ross had 12 points and Cole Spencer scored 10 to pace St. Joseph (1-10, 1-2) to a Section 3-A win, the first victory for coach Logan Acri. Yonah Itskawitz had a game-high 18 points for Hillel Academy (4-3, 1-2).

Avonworth 7, Hampton 5 – Jack Dolan and Conner Ralston each collected three goals and two assists to power Avonworth (11-2) to a Class A win. Austin Gatti had a goal and two assists. Sean Sullivan led Hampton (3-10) with a goal and an assist.

Bishop Canevin 9, Knoch 3 – Ryan Saginaw had three goals and two assists to power Bishop Canevin (12-0) to a Varsity D2 win. Brian Kalanish had two goals and an assist and Eion Tiernan, Cole Evan and Ben Ondrejko each had a goal and two assists. Brady Linamen had a goal and two assists and Nick Olshanski added a goal and an assist for Knoch (3-9).

Connellsville 7, Sewickley Academy 2 – Evan Sokol had two goals and an assist and Braden Rogerson added a goal and an assist for Connellsville (5-8) in a Varsity D2 win. Tyler Cook, TJ Snyder, Nolan Wojnar and William Whittaker III also scored. Jacob Stanislaw and Ethan Buranovsky each had a goal and an assist for Sewickley Academy (0-12-1).

Montour 10, West Allegheny 5 – Hunter Fiedler and Dylan Rogers scored two goals apiece for Montour (4-11) in a Class A win. AJ Jak had a pair for West Allegheny (2-12).

Mars 6, Meadville 5 (OT) Ethan Lipchin’s second goal of the game was the overtime winner for Mars (9-4) in a Class A win. Jacob Lestitian had a goal and two assists and Luke Olshenske, Declan Abbey and Xavier Bossola also scored. Preston Phillis had a goal and an assist for Meadville (8-3-2).

North Catholic 12, Kiski 2 – Nar-Ulan Baiken had a hat trick and Beckett Dunn had two goals and two assists to lead North Catholic (10-3-1) to a Class A win. Seth Hall and Ethan Bombalski scored for Kiski (0-14).

Plum 14, Westmont Hilltop 1 – Ryan Schoonover had three goals and three assists, Adam Varner collected two goals and two assists, and Colby Bartos added two goals and an assist for Plum (7-5-1) in a Class A win. Brett Hoffman scored for Westmont Hilltop (0-15).

Wheeling Park 4, Beaver 3 (OT) – Luke Simonetti had two goals, including the game-winner in overtime, for Wheeling Park (6-5-1) in a Class A win. Zack Master, Gabe Forney and Roman Dedominicis scored for Beaver (5-6-2).
