Final 2024 PIAA boys basketball results

For only the first time in 20 years and only the fourth time in the 124-year history of the PIAA boys basketball championships, three teams from the WPIAL have been crowned state champions.

Lincoln Park in Class 4A and Imani Christian is Class A repeated as state champions while Aliquippa continued its golden run in football and basketball with a PIAA hoops title this past weekend in Hershey.

The other three previous years that District 7 boys won three PIAA titles was in 2004 with Penn Hills in 4A, Moon in 3A and Sto-Rox in 2A; 1995 with Ringgold in 4A, Blackhawk in 3A and Shady Side Academy in 2A; and in 1992 with Blackhawk in 3A, Carlynton in 2A and Duquesne in A.

The WPIAL nearly had a fourth team earn state gold, but Franklin Regional fell to three-time champion Imhotep Charter in the Class 5A finals.
