Lexie Hames hit two home runs and was intentionally walked three times, including twice with the bases loaded, to lead Seneca Valley to a 22-3 victory over Pine-Richland in Section 1-6A softball Monday.

Paige Volz hit a grand slam, and Abby Kalkowski also homered for the Raiders (12-0, 9-0). Abigail Skripac hit a home run for Pine-Richland (6-6, 5-4).

Armstrong 8, Latrobe 2 – Jessica Pugh hit a double and Abigail Bauer hit two singles for Armstrong (10-1, 6-1) in a Section 2-5A win. Corrine Wright hit a home run for Latrobe (6-6, 5-2).

Apollo-Ridge 13, Greensburg Central Catholic 5 – Jocelyn Snyder went 4 for 5 with three doubles, a home run and six RBIs and Cassidy Ryan hit three doubles to lead Apollo-Ridge (4-4, 4-2) to a Section 2-2A win. Grace Kindel doubled and had two RBIs for Greensburg Central Catholic (4-3, 4-3).

Avonworth 3, Freeport 2 – Winning pitcher Alivia Lantzy struck out 15 and hit a two-run double during a three-run fifth inning to lead Avonworth (6-3, 4-1) in Section 1-3A. Sydney Selker struck out 12, doubled and drove in a run for Freeport (5-5, 2-3). Abby DeJidas also doubled.

Belle Vernon 12, Greensburg Salem 1 – Bella Williams hit a double and triple and Lauren VanDivner, Sydney Stark and Katie Sokol hit a triple apiece to lead Belle Vernon (11-3, 6-3) to a Section 2-4A win. Cate Waugaman hit a home run and Patty Redinger and Katana Schade each doubled for Greensburg Salem (3-9, 1-6).

Bethel Park 9, Thomas Jefferson 7 – Belinda Bova hit a triple and Anna Duguid and Lupe McElvenny hit a double apiece to lead Bethel Park (6-6, 4-3) to a Section 4-5A win. Emma DeSimone hit a triple and home run and Zoe Krizan tripled for Thomas Jefferson (6-5, 4-3).

Brentwood 5, Steel Valley 4 – Paige Boehm hit a home run and Isabella Cheripak went 3 for 3 with three RBIs to lead Brentwood (3-5, 2-4) to a Section 2-2A win. Aubrey Guciardo hit two doubles for Steel Valley (4-7, 3-4).

Burrell 16, Valley 1 – Braelyn Jones went 3 for 3 with two doubles, a home run and five RBIs, Bella Stewart hit a double and home run and Raelyn Seybert doubled to lead Burrell (8-3, 6-1) to a Section 1-3A win over Valley (0-11, 0-6).

Canon-McMillan 12, Mt. Lebanon 8 – Olivia Ford went 3 for 4 with a home run and three RBIs and Kiersten Williams drove in two runs for Canon-McMillan (4-4, 4-4) in a Section 1-6A win. Sarah Stroh and Emily Morgan each hit a home run for Mt. Lebanon (1-11, 1-9).

Central Valley 12, Quaker Valley 0 – Emma Weaver threw a two-hit shutout and struck out 10 and Aubrey Grater hit a home run to lead Central Valley (6-2, 4-2) to a Section 2-3A win. Bishop Canevin 10, Clairton 0 – Tyler Maddix walked one and struck out 10 in a five-inning no hitter as Bishop Canevin (8-3, 6-2) rolled to a Section 3-A win over Clairton (3-6, 2-5). Quenton White was 2 for 2 with a pair of triples and Kole Olszewski went 3 for 3 with a double and a triple for the Crusaders.

Brentwood 9, Brashear 3 – Winning pitcher Michale O’Leary smashed a two-run home run and Zach Wuenschell went 2 for 4 with an RBI as Brentwood (3-6) picked up a nonsection win. Garrett White doubled and drove in a run for Brashear (1-2).

Canon-McMillan 13, Baldwin 2 – Ben Peterson went 3 for 4 with a pair of home runs and four RBIs while Collin Yeager belted a three-run home run as Canon-McMillan (5-7, 5-5) bested Baldwin (1-12, 0-9) in Section 2-6A. Dylan Lacher doubled and drove in a run for the Highlanders. Sebastian Shulsky picked up the win for the Big Macs.

Central Valley 2, Hopewell 0 – Zachary McLean struck out 15 and gave up two hits in 6⅔ shutout innings to give Central Valley (7-4, 5-1) a Section 1-4A win over Hopewell (6-6, 3-4). Skylar Welling went 2 for 3 with a solo home run for the Warriors.

Cornell 7, Sewickley Academy 6 – Winning pitcher CJ Jackson belted a three-run homer and Joshua Mozuch doubled and drove in two runs to lift Cornell (1-7, 1-6) past Sewickley Academy (2-7, 2-5) in eight innings for its first Section 3-A win of the year. Jacob Stanislaw was 4 for 5 with a double and a triple for the Panthers.

He also recorded the final two outs of the top of the seventh to earn the win in relief of Riley Smith. Austin Grego singled and doubled for Uniontown (4-5, 3-3).

Leechburg 4, Springdale 2 – Jayden Floyd tripled and drove in a run while Chase Henry got the win and Garrett Jones picked up the save as Leechburg (5-6, 4-4) doubled up Springdale (4-3, 4-2) in Section 2-A. Andrew Redman singled in a run for the Dynamos.

McKeesport 9, Woodland Hills 2 – Brayden Lindsey singled and drove in a pair of runs and Colton Kotouch tripled and plated a run while Jordan Keller got the win for McKeesport (1-10, 1-6) in Section 3-4A. Trustin Hart went 3 for 4 for Woodland Hills (0-9, 0-7).

Mohawk 9, South Allegheny 5 – Aidan Bowser was 3 for 4 with three RBIs and winning pitcher Vinny Pezzuolo collected three hits for Mohawk (10-1, 7-0) in a nonsection win. Trenton Popovich slugged a pair of doubles for South Allegheny (10-3, 5-1).

Montour 10, Blackhawk 3 – Winning pitcher Matteo Weber and Jake Robinson each drove in three runs to lead Montour (11-1, 7-0) to a Section 1-4A win. Steve Knallay went 3 for 4 with a home run and two RBIs for Blackhawk (3-5, 2-4).

Moon 8, Mars 7 – Connor Kunkle was 2 for 4 with a home run and four RBIs, Andrew Cross tripled and knocked in two runs while Coleman Fletcher got the win for Moon (4-7, 2-5) in Section 3-5A. Charles Bickel went 3 for 5 with a double and a pair of RBIs for Mars (6-3, 4-3).

Mt. Lebanon 8, Hempfield 6 – Graham Keen homered and drove in four runs and Nolan Smith went 2 for 2 with a home run and three RBIs as Mt. Lebanon (11-3, 8-2) capitalized on a six-run second inning to beat Hempfield (12-2, 8-2) in Section 2-6A. Quinn Wilkins finished with two RBIs for the Spartans.

Mt. Pleasant 10, Yough 2 – Brady Painter went 2 for 4 with a double and three RBIs while Cole Chatfield, Connor Drzal and Ryan McKuta each doubled and drove in a run for Mt. Pleasant (8-4, 6-1) in a Section 4-3A. Chris Begonia doubled and knocked in a run for Yough (4-6, 4-2). Jacob Kitz got the win for the Vikings.

New Brighton 5, Laurel 4 – Winning pitcher Jaxson Zahn and Brock Budacki each collected two hits and an RBI to lead New Brighton (5-4, 3-4) to a Section 2-2A victory. Kolton Carlson singled in a run for Laurel (4-5, 3-5).

North Allegheny 5, Seneca Valley 2 – Owen Schall had two hits and two RBIs and David Posey struck out nine in six innings to lead North Allegheny (10-2, 7-0) to a Section 1-6A win. Aeden Fowler doubled for Seneca Valley (6-5-1, 3-4).

North Catholic 2, Indiana 1 – Owen Beatrice singled in two runs in the top of the sixth to give Thomas Schafael the win as North Catholic (6-3, 6-1) edged out Indiana (7-4, 5-1) in Section 4-4A.

Norwin 3, Central Catholic 2 – Caden Sivrich got the win while Nate Silberman singled and drove in two for Norwin (6-7, 4-5) in a Section 2-6A victory. Gavin Kelly doubled home a run for Central Catholic (7-7, 4-6).

OLSH 10, Aliquippa 0; OLSH 15, Aliquippa 0 – OLSH (9-4, 7-1) didn’t allow a hit in 11 innings in a doubleheader sweep of Aliquippa (0-6, 0-6) in Section 2-2A. In the first game, Iseia Schulz threw a six-inning no-hitter with 18 strikeouts. Schulz, Anthony Hansen and Gino Williams each knocked in a pair of runs. In the second game, Sean Hudac threw a five-inning no-hitter with 10 strikeouts. Vann Kavals had two hits and three RBIs.

Penn-Trafford 14, Penn Hills 4 – Chuck Fontana doubled while Travis Kovarik picked up the win as Penn-Trafford (10-1, 6-1) cruised to a Section 1-5A win against Penn Hills (0-10, 0-9).

Plum 7, Gateway 5 – Max Vollmer had two hits and two RBIs and Cole Kemmerer and Jackson Anderson each doubled and drove in a run for Plum (8-4, 5-2) in a Section 1-5A win. Harris Otterman singled, doubled and drove in three for Gateway (1-10, 1-6).

Ringgold 5, Laurel Highlands 2 – Gavin Angotti went 2 for 4 with three RBIs, Jimmy Lanzi doubled and Anthony Koziel struck out seven as Ringgold (4-7, 2-5) prevailed in a Section 2-4A matchup. Devan Krivosky doubled and drove in a pair for Laurel Highlands (0-10, 0-7).

Riverside 11, Quaker Valley 0 – Bo Fornataro hit two home runs and drove in five runs while Ashton Schlosser doubled and plated a pair to lead Riverside (8-0, 7-0) to a Section 1-3A win over Quaker Valley (3-8, 2-7). Zack Hare pitched five shutout innings for the Panthers.

Riverview 13, Ligonier Valley 0 – Rece Stempfer went 2 for 3 with a triple and three RBIs, Rex Roberts was 3 for 3 with three RBIs and Jack Loughren got the win for Riverview (7-3, 4-2) in Section 3-2A. Tyler Smith doubled for Ligonier Valley (4-7, 2-5)

Seton LaSalle 8, Freedom 5 – Mark Weber doubled and drove in four runs, Michael Todd doubled and had a pair of RBIs and Jesse Fedorek got the win as Seton LaSalle (9-1, 8-0) beat Freedom (7-4, 5-2) in Section 2-2A. Boden Hilliard had two RBIs for the Bulldogs.

Shady Side Academy 3, Freeport 2 – Zachary Barber, Jonah Sackrowitz and winning pitcher David Dillon each knocked in a run for Shady Side Academy (6-3, 5-2) in Section 3-3A. Matt Corfield and Malik Febinger drove in a run apiece for Freeport (3-8, 3-6).

Shenango 8, Neshannock 5 – Treyton Ross tripled and drove in three runs, Joey Campoli collected two hits and two RBIs and Jimmy Roe got the win as Shenango (6-5, 5-2) defeated Neshannock (6-5, 4-2) in Section 1-3A. Jake Rynd went 3 for4 with a pair of RBIs for the Lancers.

South Park 15, Steel Valley 0 – Ryan Spitznagel went 2 for 2 with a double, home run and three RBIs and Cooper Hochendoner homered for South Park (6-5, 4-3) in a Section 2-3A win over Steel Valley (3-7, 2-5).

St. Joseph 4, Western Beaver 3 – Winning pitcher Owen Swanson helped his cause with a two-run double in the top of the seventh to give St. Joseph (2-8, 2-5) the Section 2-A win. Elliott Szalla also doubled and drove in two for the Spartans. August Lichter and Ethan Wilson each went 2 for 4 with an RBI for Western Beaver (4-3, 4-1).

Trinity 4, South Fayette 1 – Kaden Hathaway singled and drove in a run and J.R. Rieg struck out nine in a complete game for Trinity (5-5, 4-3) in a Section 2-5A victory. Adam Caye went 3 for 3 with a double for South Fayette (5-4, 4-3).

Upper St. Clair 12, Peters Township 1 – Aidan Crochier mashed two home runs and drove in five runs while Carter Stein and Eli Rankin each knocked in a pair of runs as Upper St. Clair (5-8, 3-4) defeated Peters Township (5-8, 2-5) in Section 2-5A. Carter Shanafelt collected two hits for the Indians. Brayden Wells got the win for the Panthers.

Valley 4, East Allegheny 2 – Conrad Hoover, Dante Taliani, Jacob Staraniec and winning pitcher Wesley Schrock each drove in a run for Valley (7-4, 4-3) in a Section 3-3A victory over East Allegheny (6-2, 3-2).

Washington 6, Chartiers-Houston 5 – Joseph Wilson doubled and knocked in a pair of runs and Wayne Sparks-Gatling hit an RBI double as Washington (6-5, 4-3) edged out Chartiers-Houston (5-4, 5-1) in Section 1-2A. Keegan Kosek doubled and drove in a run for the Bucs. The Prexies’ Caleb Patton struck out three in three scoreless innings of relief for the win.

Waynesburg 14, Southmoreland 3 – Derek Turcheck doubled and drove in three and winning pitcher Tyler Groves tripled and brought home two runs as Waynesburg (9-0, 7-0) thumped Southmoreland (2-9, 2-7) in Section 4-3A. Cole Teets and Ty Keffer each drove in a run for the Scotties.

West Allegheny 2, New Castle 1 – Jonah Buglak broke a 1-1 tie with a sac fly in the top of the seventh to lift West Allegheny (7-2, 5-2) over New Castle (0-13, 0-8) in Section 3-5A. Bryson Zirwas and Will Gubba each doubled while Mason Gass got the win for the Indians. Phillip Laurenza doubled and knocked in the only run for the Hurricanes.

West Mifflin 8, Thomas Jefferson 5 – Winning pitcher Zane Griffaton went 2 for 3 with a home run and four RBIs and James Moneck doubled and drove in a run as West Mifflin (13-1, 7-0) beat Thomas Jefferson (12-1, 6-1) in Section 3-4A. Carter Kirsch collected two hits and three RBIs for the Jaguars.

Boys lacrosse

Norwin 19, Baldwin 0 – Griffin Bartos and Brayden Frischolz scored four goals apiece and Ryan Charles added three as Norwin picked up a Section 1-3A win. Luke Morrow and Ryan Nemes each scored a pair of goals for the Knights.

Girls lacrosse

Blackhawk 15, Moon 1 – Ryleigh McKnight scored four goals, including the 100th of her career, and Andrea Kinger added four goals and three assists to lead Blackhawk to a Section 2-2A win. Mia Piocquidio and Lauren Fair each scored three goals each for the Cougars.

Hampton 17, Yough 4 – Dillon Perry scored four goals and Lindsay Fiscuc, Sienna Rex and Ava Galuska each recorded a hat trick as Hampton (4-7, 4-4) defeated Yough (3-7, 0-7) in Section 1-2A.

Latrobe 6, Ellis School 5 (OT) – Aliza Yeager scored the overtime winner to lead Latrobe (3-4, 4-7 to a Section 1-2A win. Ryanne Lehman had two goals and Bridget McHugh, Tess Campbell, and Asia Mills also scored for the Wildcats.

Quaker Valley 18, Ambridge 0 – Lucy Roig scored five goals and Sydney Hewitt had a hat trick while Kendall Foster, Alexa Westwood and Annabel Miko scored two goals apiece as Quaker Valley (3-4, 3-3) shut out Ambridge (0-12, 0-8) in Section 2-2A.
