High school roundup for May 4, 2024: Shaler rallies past Central Catholic

Alex Venezia hit the go-ahead two-run double during a five-run seventh to lead Shaler to a 7-4 victory over Central Catholic in nonsection baseball Saturday.

Dominic Twigg pitched a scoreless inning of relief to earn the win for the Titans (12-4). Gevin Kelly doubled and homered and Andres Hurkmans doubled and drove in a pair for the Vikings (10-10).

Seton LaSalle 2, Knoch 1 – Gio Lonero had three hits, including the go-ahead RBI single in the top of the seventh, to lead Seton LaSalle to a nonsection win over Knoch. Mike Cejrowski pitched three scoreless innings of relief to earn the win for the Rebels (14-1). Logan Cypher singled and doubled and Kyle Morgan also had two hits for the Knights (8-9).
