With the exception of one classification, the elite softball teams across the state did what they needed to do to remain part of the Trib HSSN state rankings heading into the district playoffs.
The one classification that was in full shuffle mode was Class 5A.
Three teams fell and three new schools entered the Top 5 in the second-largest class. Armstrong, Pittston Area and Central Mountain replace Shaler, Marple Newtown and North Hills.
The only other change in the five others classes was undefeated Downingtown West bumping fellow District 1 foe Council Rock South.
The top of each class remained the same with Hempfield in 6A, South Western in 5A, Blue Mountain in 4A, Mid Valley in 3A, Neshannock in 2A and Union in A still No. 1.
