PIAA announces quarterfinal sites, times for 2024 state baseball playoffs

The PIAA has announced sites and times for the next round of the state baseball playoffs with only eight WPIAL teams having survived to reach the quarterfinals.
The schedule for Thursday includes an all-WPIAL matchup in Class A: Eden Christian faces Avella at Washington & Jefferson’s Ross Memorial Park in Washington.
Penn-Trafford and Indiana remain alive in Class 5A, with Indiana and Montour active in 4A and Avonworth and South Allegheny in 3A.
There are no WPIAL teams left in the Class 6A or 2A brackets.
Class 6A
1-1 Downingtown East (18-6) vs. 12-1 La Salle College (22-3) at Neumann University, 4 p.m.
2-1 Hazleton (20-4) vs. 1-5 Neshaminy (21-3) at De Sales University, noon
3-1 Landisville Hempfield (19-5) vs. 10-1 McDowell (15-7) at Showers Field, DuBois, 11:30 a.m.
