It looks like Cam Auld is coming home.

Norwin will vote Monday to hire Auld as boys basketball coach, according to school board agenda.

A Norwin alum and former basketball player for the Knights, the 26-year-old Auld has been the boys coach at Greensburg Salem for the last two seasons, where he went 9-34 overall and 3-17 in section.

A Waynesburg University graduate, Auld was previously a freshman boys coach at Norwin under Lance Maha, the Knights’ varsity coach who resigned after three years to become athletic director at West Mifflin.

The plan before Auld took the Greensburg Salem job in 2022 was for him to become Maha’s junior varsity coach. But he decided joining the Golden Lions was a better move.

He also was an assistant at Waynesburg University and at Waynesburg Central High School, serving one year at each stop.
