Last year, only two teams sat atop the Trib 10 power rankings throughout the season.

Central Catholic was No. 1 from Week Zero through Week 6, and then Aliquippa took over the top spot and remained there the rest of the 2023 campaign.

It’s a new season, but the Quips still remain on top of the WPIAL mountain.

In fact, eight teams that were ranked in the final 2023 Trib 10 are back in the power rankings to begin the new season.

Joining them are South Hills powers Upper St. Clair and Thomas Jefferson.

The breakdown of the inaugural Trib 10 by classification has two 6A, three 5A, four 4A and one Class A team.

There are two head-to-head battles in Week 1 with Belle Vernon at Aliquippa and Pine-Richland hosting Central Catholic.

Here are the first Trib 10 power rankings for 2024. Teams are listed with overall record and last week’s ranking. These rankings have zero classification boundaries.
