Blackhawk 2, Chartiers Valley 0 – Freshman Ella Richardson scored her first goal, Aliana DeSarbo also scored and Kaylee Coakley recorded her fifth shutout of the season as Blackhawk (5-8, 4-6) beat Chartiers Valley (1-10, 0-9) in Section 2-3A.
Butler 10, North Hills 0 – Cecelia Wolford, Kara Lubinsky, Lucia Leyland and Sydney Patterson scored two goals apiece to lead Butler (7-7, 3-5) to a Section 3-4A win over North Hills (2-11, 0-8).
Burrell 2, Knoch 1 – Katie Koehler and Taylor Boyer scored to lead Burrell (10-2-1, 6-2) past Knoch (2-11-1, 1-7) in a Section 2-2A win.
California 1, Beth-Center 0 – Leah Hartley scored for California (4-5-1, 3-3-1) in a Section 2-A win over Beth-Center (2-8, 1-7).

Franklin Regional 2, Greensburg Salem 0 – Eden Williams and Abby Paterline scored and Addison Ayres preserved the shutout to lead Franklin Regional (9-5, 8-2) past Greensburg Salem (5-8, 2-7) in Section 4-3A. Reilly Weaver and Brooke Blakley recorded assists.
Hampton 2, Gateway 1 – Sara Kenst had a goal and an assist, Emma Langer also scored and Adele Cole added an assist for Hampton (9-3-1, 6-3) in a Section 1-3A win over Gateway (4-7-1, 3-5-1).
Hempfield 1, Armstrong 0 – Jiana Patterson scored the decisive goal, assisted by Madison Black, to lift Hempfield (4-10, 2-5) past Armstrong (2-12, 1-7) in Section 1-4A.
Kiski Area 7, West Mifflin 3 – Camryn Kunz had a hat trick and Ellie Arnold, Sophia Hranica, Addison Buffone and Maria Safranyos also scored for Kiski Area (6-6-1, 6-3-1) in Section 4-3A. Jada Downs scored twice and Caroline Chelosky added a goal for West Mifflin (2-9-1, 0-8-1).
Mt. Lebanon 3, Canon-McMillan 2 – Lucy Pryor , Tessa Peer and Becca Braunsdorf scored to lift Mt. Lebanon (7-4-1, 3-4) past Canon-McMillan (8-3-1, 4-3-1) in Section 2-4A.
Mt. Pleasant 11, East Allegheny 0 – Rylin Bugosh and Morgan Gesinski netted hat tricks, Isabel Overly had two goals and Maddie Barrick, Emma Hatcher and Jaden Kantorik also scored to lead Mt. Pleasant (12-1, 8-0) past East Allegheny (1-7, 0-7) in Section 4-2A. Laurel Rummel recorded the shutout.
Penn-Trafford 8, Woodland Hills 0 – Alexis Brown had a hat trick and Avery Bosack had a goal and two assists for Penn-Trafford (11-3, 8-0) in a Section 1-4A win over Woodland Hills (3-8-1, 2-6). Riley McIntosh, Isabella Rager, Justine Jackson and Malliyah Graves also scored for the Warriors.
Peters Township 2, Upper St. Clair 0 – Paige Malley and Cam Klein scored and Molly Kubistek recorded the shutout as Peters Township (12-0-1, 7-0-1) blanked Upper St. Clair (7-5-2, 4-2-2) in a matchup of top teams in Section 2-34A.
Seton LaSalle 3, Sewickley Academy 2 – Anna Porter scored the game-winning goal and Angelina McGrath and Brynlee Robinson also scored to lead Seton LaSalle (9-2-2, 8-1-1) past Sewickley Academy (6-3-1, 5-1-1) in a matchup of top teams in Section 3-A.
Shaler 9, Obama Academy 0 – Gabby Alcalde had two goals and four assists and Reanna Richardson and Liv Ryan combined on the shutout to lead Shaler 6-5-1, 4-4-1) past Obama Academy (1-10, 0-9) in Section 1-3A. Naudia Zotter had two assists and Addy Paladin, Melina Poliziani, Hannah Sahr, Lia Wallander, Emily Thomas, Delilah Arrigo and Richardson also scored.
South Fayette 5, Laurel Highlands 0 – Gabby Beinecke had a hat trick and Quinn Miller and Mia Deramo added a goal apiece to lead South Fayette (11-3, 8-0) to a Section 3-3A win over Laurel Highlands (6-6, 3-5).
Waynesburg 2, Chartiers-Houston 1 (OT) – Freshman Kolbi Rastoka scored a pair of goals, including the overtime winner, to lead Waynesburg (10-2, 6-2) past Chartiers-Houston (8-3, 6-2) in a matchup of Section 2-A contenders. Emily Rafferty had two assists for the Raiders.
West Allegheny 1, Moon 0 – Chloe Hart scored for West Allegheny (11-2-1, 8-1 in a Section 2-3A win over Moon (10-2, 9-1).
Yough 2, Southmoreland 1 – Daisy Miller scored twice, with assists going to Kate Slavick and Gionna Piontka, as Yough (10-5, 4-4) beat Southmoreland (9-5, 5-3) in a matchup of teams in playoff positions in the Class 4-2A standings.
Boys soccer
North Catholic 4, Highlands 0 – Angelo Amelio scored twice, Matthew Liscinsky and Arthur Mendonca added goals and Drew Schedlbauer stopped a penalty kick to preserve a shutout as North Catholic (11-3, 9-2) beat Highlands (4-7-1, 3-7-1) in Section 1-2A.
Field hockey
Penn-Trafford 4, Hempfield 0 – Brooke Bauer, Rilie Moors, Emma Chamberlin and Caeley Simon scored and Liz Welsh recorded an assist to lead Penn-Trafford (7-4) past Hempfield (2-9) in a nonsection match.
Girls volleyball
Knoch 3, Laurel 0 – Karlee Buterbaugh had nine kills and 11 digs, Kenzie Kurtz added six kills and four blocks and Alena Tekely collected 11 service points and 16 assists to lead Knoch (6-5) to a nonsection win over Laurel (8-5).
Girls tennis
WPIAL doubles championships – The top two seeds advanced to the finals in both the Class 3A and Class 2A brackets.
In Class 3A, top-seeded juniors Jackie Tang and Michelle Yang of Mt. Lebanon will meet second-seeded freshmen Brooke Henderson and Alexandra Merkel in the finals. Tang and Yang defeated No. 4 Cassandra Lapina and Sonaya Arora of Pine-Richland in straight sets in the semifinals. Henderson and Merkel beat surprise semifinalists Kaitlyn Kuczinski and Carly Weber of Chartiers Valley, the 14th seeds, in straight sets.
In Class 2A, top-seeded Kirsten Close and Avery Allan of Quaker Valley will meet No. 2 Brea Kelley and Katie Hardy of North Catholic. Close and Allan beat No. 4 Mollie Sclichter and Luciana Easly of Oakland Catholic in straight sets in the semifinals. Kelley and Hardy defeated No. 3 Sasha Hoffman and Emilia Longhi of Greensburg Central Catholic in straight sets.
The finals and consolation finals are set for 1 p.m. Thursday at Bethel Park. The top three teams advance to the PIAA tournament.
