Westmoreland County high school football players to watch for 2024 Week 10

Jarett Garn
Mt. Pleasant, sr., WR/RB/K/DB
The 6-foot-3, 180-pound senior had a big game and helped the Vikings stay with Elizabeth Forward. The multipurpose athlete rushed for a touchdown, caught an 87-yard touchdown and returned a kickoff 94 yards for a score. He had a 64-yard interception return to set up his touchdown run. He has 15 catches for 411 yards, rushed for 402 yards and has scored a team-high 13 touchdowns. He also has kicked five field goals.
Players to watch
Kai Brunot
Greensburg Salem, sr., RB/DB
The 5-11, 165-pound senior running back has rushed for 536 yards and seven touchdowns. He’s a hard-hitting defensive back who has been in on 48 tackles and one interception. He’s a four-year starter for the Golden Lions.
Isaiah Jones
Jeannette, so., OL/DL/ILB
The 5-8, 230-pound sophomore had a big game against Riverview. He had two quarterback sacks and three tackles for losses. He’s made 28 tackles. He’s also seeing increased playing time on offense.
Heath Sliva
Franklin Regional, sr., FS/WR
The 5-10, 170-pound senior plays free safety and coach Lance Getsy says Sliva is the quarterback of the defense. He averages six tackles per game and has 50 tackles in eight games. He missed one game due to an emergency appendectomy and was at practice, though not participating, that day.
