Eight years ago, the WPIAL had three teams win PIAA girls volleyball championships as North Allegheny in Class 4A, Knoch in 3A and Freeport in 2A all brought home state gold in 2017.

The district will try to match that record success as three teams from the WPIAL are headed to the 2024 girls volleyball state finals in Mechanicsburg.

Seven-time defending champion North Allegheny in 4A, Mars in 3A and Greensburg Central Catholic in A all have three PIAA postseason wins as they head east to Cumberland Valley High School on Saturday.

Here are the times for Saturday’s four state championship matches, along with the semifinal, quarterfinal and first round results from the PIAA girls volleyball playoffs.
