Offensive stalwarts who scored goals as effectively as they created them, a pair of WPIAL soccer standouts received elite recognition Wednesday.

Latrobe’s Robin Reilly and Tyler Prex of Seneca Valley, both senior midfielders, were named High School All-Americans by the United Soccer Coaches.

Reilly, a West Virginia commit who has enrolled early at her college destination, adds her latest honor to making All-WPIAL, all-state and all-region.

The playmaker had 15 goals and nine assists for Latrobe and has helped lead a spike in the program in recent years.

Reilly’s 61 goals and 44 assists are all-time marks in the Latrobe girls program.

She is the first player in Latrobe history to make All-America.

Prex, the WPIAL Class 4A Player of the Year as well as an All-WPIAL, all-state and all-region player, was selected to play in the Top Drawer High School All-American Game on Saturday at Wando High School in Charleston, S.C.

He scored 20 goals and distributed 12 assists this season for the Raiders, who reached the WPIAL quarterfinals.

Prex is the fourth player from Seneca Valley to earn All-America recognition.

Two other players from Pennsylvania made the All-American list: Lower Dauphin senior Ashley Economopoulos and Davin Millisock, a senior forward from Fleetwood.

All-American selections will be honored at the United Soccer Coaches All-America ceremony Jan. 11 at the McCormick Convention Center in Chicago.
