Ella Sabatos scored 19 points and Bethel Park rallied from a 12-point deficit at the end of the third quarter for a 54-52 victory over Trinity in Section 4-5A girls basketball Thursday night.
Fiona O’Neil and Sadie Orie added 15 points apiece for the Black Hawks (3-1, 1-0), who outscored the Hillers 20-6 in the fourth quarter. Sutton Williamson scored 19 points and Kimari Behrens had 12 for Trinity (4-1, 0-1).
Avonworth 72, Ligonier Valley 14 – Greta O’Brien scored 17 points and Emma Obersteiner, Megan Obersteiner and Anna Bradley each added 11 to lead Avonworth (3-1, 1-0) in Section 2-3A. Sydnee Foust scored eight for Ligonier Valley (1-3, 0-1).
Baldwin 55, Canon-McMillan 49 – Julianne Ott scored 17 points to lead Baldwin (3-3) to a nonsection win. Lauren Burella and Samantha Miller scored 15 points apiece for Canon-McMillan (3-3).
