Lauren Marton had a double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds to lead undefeated Penn-Trafford to a 54-36 victory over Hempfield in nonsection girls basketball Wednesday.
Torrie Destefano added 11 points for the Warriors (14-0). Allie Cervola scored 15 points to lead the Spartans (7-7).
Apollo-Ridge 47, South Allegheny 19 – Mya McClain scored nine points and Josalin McCauley added eight to lead Apollo-Ridge (6-8) to a nonsection win over South Allegheny (2-10). Jaz Farnan had 10 to lead the Gladiators.
Brownsville 58, Carmichaels 23 – Skylar Gates led all scorers with 27 points and Ava Clark added 22 to lead Brownsville (7-5) to a nonsection win. Avery Voithofer had 11 for Carmichaels (1-13).
Carlynton 42, Steel Valley 27 – Lucy Vetter put up 18 points to power Carlynton (6-7) to a nonsection win over Steel Valley (1-13).
Central Valley 62, Lincoln Park 21 – Myah Hayes dropped 17 points and Dominique Douglas added 12 for Central Valley (8-4, 4-2) in a Section 2-4A win. Patty Weselowski finished with 13 points for Lincoln Park (3-8, 1-3).
Chartiers-Houston 52, Washington 33 – Ava Capozzoli hit five 3-pointers for 15 points and Ava Kolovich also scored 15 points help Chartiers-Houston (11-2) to a nonsection win. Allison Wingard added 11. Olivia Woods scored 16 and Shawnti Fuller added 12 for Washington (4-10).
Kiski Area 41, Armstrong 31 – Gianna DeVito scored 14 points, Jada Blanciak added 12 and Alison Pencak chipped in 10 to lead Kiski Area (9-5) to a nonsection victory. Marlo Mellish scored 10 for Armstrong (2-11).
Ligonier Valley 38, Jeannette 36 – Bella Pacienza nailed a buzzer-beating 3-pointer to lift Ligonier Valley (4-8) past Jeannette (4-10) in nonsection play. Sydnee Foust recorded a double-double with 11 points and 17 rebounds and Gabby Springer finished with 10 points as the Rams fought back from a 32-25 fourth-quarter deficit. Navarrah Smith scored 26 points to lead the Jayhawks. Pacienza finished with eight points for the Rams.
Riverside 52, Mohawk 43 – Emma Meyer dropped 19 points, Gabriella Finch added 13 and Emma Stockman contributed 10 for Riverside (10-6, 5-3) in a Section 1-3A win. Reagan Magno had a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds and Makenna Stewart scored all 15 of her points in the second half for Mohawk (3-11, 2-6).
Uniontown 40, Ringgold 38 – Emily Myers scored 13 points to lift Uniontown (5-9) past Ringgold (6-7) in nonsection play. Jada Gernot produced 15 points and Alayna Macioce finished with 13 for the Rams.
Upper St. Clair 63, Connellsville 23 – Rylee Kalocay dropped 22 points, while Meredith Huzjak and Olivia Terlecki each produced 10 as Upper St. Clair (11-2, 5-0) rolled past Connellsville (3-12, 0-5) in Section 2-6A. Maggie Orndorff scored 11 to lead the Falcons.
Boys basketball
Beaver County Christian 63, Riverside 50 – Hunter Mozely put up 27 points, Rocco DeSarbo added 11 and Tyler Guevara followed with 10 as Beaver County Christian (7-5) defeated Riverside (7-9) in nonsection play. McCartney Plassmeyer scored 20 points and Drake Fox added 15 for the Panthers.
Brentwood 67, Perry Traditional Academy 46 – Colton Rosing led all scorers with 18 points, Forrest Betz added 16 and Aidan Barker and Xh’avier Nunez scored 12 points apiece for Brentwood (6-7) in a nonsection win. Trevon Rosario-Jones produced 11 points to pace Perry (0-9).
Hopewell 66, Freedom 34 – Zach Kovell scored his 1,000th career point at the four-minute mark of the first quarter and finished with 15 points to pace Hopewell (5-9) to a nonsection win. Brody Rock put up 12 and Thomas Pipkins III finished with 10 for the Vikings. Will Kumrow scored 10 for Freedom (1-10).
Latrobe 68, Albert Gallatin 57 – Max Butler scored 23 points to reach the 1,000-point mark for his career as Latrobe (14-1, 6-1) won in Section 1-5A. He became the fourth Butler brother to reach the milestone, joining Austin, Bryce and Landon. Ian DeCerb added 22 points for the Wildcats (14-1, 6-1). Shymere Wilson scored 15, Mekhi Belt added 12 and JJ Jackson had 11 for Albert Gallatin (7-7, 2-5). The Wildcats have won nine in a row.
Monessen 63, Beth-Center 52 – Rodney Johnson scored 25 points, Devontae Robinson added 14 and TyVaughn Kershaw had 12 for Monessen (9-4) in a nonsection comeback victory. The Greyhounds trailed 41-28 after three quarters and outscored Beth-Center 35-11 in the fourth. Jason Zellie scored 23 points and Brayden Hull had 14 for the Bulldogs (7-7).
South Fayette 59, Lincoln Park 40 – Tyson Wright scored 16 points and Gavin Orosz chipped in with 13 as South Fayette (10-4) beat Lincoln Park (2-11) in nonsection play. Damar Johnson led the Leopard with 13 points.

Belle Vernon 68, Laurel Highlands 6 – Vander Raczkowski (132), Kole Doppelheuer (152), Eric Adamec (182) and Elijah Brown (220) recorded pins, Deyson Soto (138) won by tech fall and Colby Hibner (145) won a decision to lead Belle Vernon (3-1) past Laurel Highlands (2-2) in a nonsection match.
