Only two teams lost their spot in the latest Trib HSSN girls basketball state rankings this week as the first round of the 12 district postseasons wrap up.
The undefeated season for Penn-Trafford in District 7 ended with a quarterfinal loss to Thomas Jefferson in Class 5A.
One week after it replaced DuBois Central Catholic in the Class A rankings, Otto-Eldred fell from the Top 5, opening the door for Geibel Catholic from District 7 to enter at No. 5.
The only other notable change was Kennedy Catholic moving back to No. 1 in Class 2A following a big District 10 victory over last week’s top team, Wilmington. The Golden Eagles swept the two meetings against the Greyhounds and return to the top in 2A.
The rest of the top teams in each class continue their reign on top with Hazleton in 6A, South Fayette in 5A, Scranton Prep in 4A, Shady Side Academy in 3A and Bishop Guilfoyle in A.
