The wait is finally over.  We now present to you the 2013 MSA Sports Girls All-Netters. The team is picked by the MSA Sports staff.  Here is a look at the Player of the Year, and the first- and second-team All-Netters.

ALL-NETTERS FIRST TEAM

PLAYER OF THE YEAR

CIARA GREGORY, JEANNETTE
5'7" – Guard – Senior

Gregory started her career at Jeannette by bringing home a WPIAL title in her freshman season.  Since then, she has spent every day of her illustrious scholastic career rewriting the Jayhawks history books, while making her mark in the WPIAL.

A four-year starter, Gregory wrapped up her senior season leading her team in nearly every statistical category, including three-point shooting (33%), free throw shooting (76%), assists (3.8 per game), and steals (5.0 per game).  Her 30.4 points per game average was not only a team best, but also tops in the WPIAL. 

Gregory also became Jeannette's all-time leading scorer in her senior season, and surpassed the 2,000-point mark at the end of regular season play.  She finished her career with 2,130 points, including 103 in Jeannette's three WPIAL playoff games.

Taking her talents to the Atlantic 10 next season, Gregory will play her college basketball at UNC Charlotte.

SHATORI WALKER-KIMBROUGH, HOPEWELL
6'0" – Guard – Senior

Shatori Walker-Kimbrough has become a household name around the WPIAL over the last four years.  The three-sport star has left her mark not only in hoops, but also volleyball and track.

Walker-Kimbrough averaged 27.5 points per game this season, second in the WPIAL to only Ciara Gregory, finishing her career with 2,427 points.

As a junior, Walker-Kimbrough led Hopewell to WPIAL titles in both volleyball and basketball.  She also finished second in the WPIAL in the triple jump.  Hoping for a repeat basketball title this season, the Vikings fell just short, dropping to eventual champ South Park in the semifinals.

Walker-Kimbrough will carry on her basketball career at the University of Maryland next year.

SHELBY LINDSAY, SOUTH PARK
5'11" – Guard – Senior

One may easily consider South Park's season a Cinderella story.  Shelby Lindsay was a key to making those dreams come true.

Lindsay averaged 17.8 points per game this season, helping to lead her team to both WPIAL and PIAA gold.  It was the first state title for South Park in school history.

A four-year starter, Linsday won 86 games in her scholastic career.  Although still undecided, she is considering attending West Point in the fall.

CHASSIDY OMOGROSSO, BLACKHAWK
5'5" – Point Guard – Sophomore

Although only a sophomore, Chassidy Omogrosso is a member of the MSA Sports All-Netters for the second consecutive year.  She is one of a few youngsters already making waves in the WPIAL.

Omogrosso averaged 22 points per game this season, placing her seventh in the WPIAL.  She scored her 1,000th point against New Castle on February 7–a rare feat for a sophomore.

Proven to be one of the best point guards in the WPIAL, Omogrosso has already committed to Pitt.

BRENNA WISE, VINCENTIAN ACADEMY
6'1" – Guard/Forward – Sophomore

Brenna Wise left no doubts as to why she is one of the most versatile players in the WPIAL.  She led the Royals in five statistical categories, including free throw shooting (76%), blocked shots (94), rebounds (11.8 per game), steals (4.2 per game), and points (23.2 per game)–which also placed her fifth-best among WPIAL scoring leaders.

The postseason was a huge success for Wise, who scored her 1,000th point in the quarterfinals against Winchester-Thurston.  She also recorded one triple-double and two double-doubles in the WPIAL postseason, alone.

Wise led the Royals to WPIAL gold over Serra Catholic, finishing with 18 points, 20 rebounds, and 3 blocked shots.

ALL-NETTERS SECOND TEAM:

MEGAN MARECIC, BETHEL PARK
5'11" – Guard – Junior

To limit Megan Marecic to one position on a roster would be an injustice.  She is the epitome of an athlete on the court, doing a little bit of everything for the Black Hawks. 

Averaging 15.5 points per game, Marecic also led Bethel Park in assists (4.9 per game) and steals (2.6 per game).  She also grabbed an average of six rebounds per game.

Marecic helped carry her Black Hawks from the most competitive section in Class AAAA to the school's first ever WPIAL championship.

While Megan has not decided where she will play her college ball, St. Joseph and Stetson have offered while other schools have shown interest. 

SAMMIE WEISS, MCGUFFEY
5'10" – Guard – Sophomore

Sammie Weiss has earned her membership in the WPIAL spectacular sophomores club.  Her 27.5 points per game were enough to place her third among WPIAL scoring leaders this season.

A 23-point performance against Riverside in the first round of the WPIAL playoffs propelled her over the 1,000-point mark in just her second season of varsity hoops.

Weiss guided McGuffey to the WPIAL quarterfinals and the PIAA first round.

ERIN WASKOWIAK, BISHOP CANEVIN
5'11" – Guard – Senior

Erin Waskowiak took on a new role for Bishop Canevin this season–captaining the offense.  The Crusaders could not have asked for better results.

The four-year starter averaged 15 points per game and led her squad on a history-making title run.  First, Bishop Canevin ended Seton-LaSalle's 66-game winning streak to capture WPIAL gold.  Then, the Crusaders advanced to knock off York Catholic in the PIAA title game and bring home the school's first state championship.

Waskowiak will play her college basketball at Duquesne.

COURTNEE MCMASTERS, CALIFORNIA
5'7" – Guard – Senior

Courtnee McMasters capped off her senior season in impressive fashion, averaging 22.2 points per game–sixth best in the WPIAL.  McMasters led the Trojans in rebounding, averaging 9.1 per game.  She also blocked 44 shots on the year.

McMasters had her way with Mapletown in early February, scoring 56 points in California's 81-31 victory.  In the final game of the season, McMasters scored 18 points to finish her career with 1,002.

Next year, McMasters will take continue her basketball career at Bethany College.

LAUREN WOLOSIK, NORTH CATHOLIC
5'10" – Guard – Senior

A veteran leader for North Catholic this season, Lauren Wolosik led the Trojans with 27.1 points per game–fourth among WPIAL scoring leaders.  Throughout the WPIAL postseason alone, she scored 69 points.

Wolosik helped North Catholic to the WPIAL semifinals and the PIAA first round.

The Central Connecticut recruit played in 25 postseason games during her four-year career.
