Under the direction of new head coach Cindy Guthrie, Blackhawk expects good things from this veteran quad of five returning starters.

Haley Schramm, left front hitter, is returning as a 3-year letter winner, WPIAL first team member and WPIAL all-district.  She led the team in kills and blocks last season.  MaKenna Malinowski is a 2-year letter winner, defensive specialist that led the teams in digs and aces last season.  She was also chosen as first team all-section.

We look for significant contributions from Senior Hannah Pringle, a left-handed right side hitter as well as middle hitters senior Allie Menges and junior Nikki Beatty.

The offense will run by sophomore setter Stephanie Schramm and rounded out by junior Brooke Tomasko at the left front hitter position.

Defensive specialists Tiye Boyd, Hannah Schaley, Brianna Camp and Tori Lavalle will play significant roles off the bench as well.

The teams’ goal for 2013 is to win Class AA Section 1 and to deliver a strong run into the WPIAL playoffs.
