High school roundup: No. 3 Canon-McMillan edges No. 2 Peters Township

Addie Roman scored twice in the second half to lead No. 3 Canon-McMillan to a 2-1 victory over No. 2 Peters Township in a Section 2-AAAA girls soccer game Monday night.
Ashley Barzd earned the win in goal for the Big Macs (6-1-1, 4-0-1).
Hannah Stuck scored on an assist from Regan LaVigna for Peters Township (8-1, 3-1).
Class AAAA's top two teams each lost Monday, after Norwin fell to Penn-Trafford, 1-0.
Bethel Park 1, Baldwin 0 — Natalie DiGiorno scored in overtime to lead Bethel Park in a Section 2-AAAA victory. It was the first victory of the season for the host Black Hawks (1-5-3, 1-2-2).
Baldwin fell to 5-6 overall and 0-5 in section play.
Upper St. Clair 2, Mt. Lebanon 1 — Alexis Wehrle and Mia Snyder scored to help Upper St. Clair (3-4-2, 2-2-1) earn a 2-AAAA victory.
North Allegheny 4, North Hills 0 — Olivia Ruppersberger, Morgan Anderson, Alex Adams and Sarah Shupansky scored as No. 5 North Allegheny (7-2, 4-1) won in Section 1-AAAA.
Uniontown 8, Albert Gallatin 0 — Hannah Mershat scored four times to lift Uniontown (3-8, 2-4) to a Section 2-AAA win.
Thomas Jefferson 4, West Mifflin 0 — Lia Manning had a goal and assist as No. 4 Thomas Jefferson (8-1, 6-1) won in Section 3-AAA. Bailey Keck posted the shutout.
South Fayette 1, Central Valley 0 — Brenna McGuire scored in the second half as South Fayette (7-1-3, 6-1-1) picked up a Section 4-AAA victory.
Bentworth 6, Beth-Center 0 — Jocelyn Timlin had three goals and Paige Marshalek scored twice to lift No. 4 Bentworth (6-2-1, 5-0-1) to a Section 2-A win.
Seton LaSalle 2, Bishop Canevin 0 — Mo Obiri and Liz Kittle scored and Kaylee Russman posted the shutout as Seton LaSalle (7-2, 5-1) won in Section 2-A.

Chartiers Valley 2, Allderdice 1 — Baxter Eckenrode and Anthony Molinaro scored to lift No. 5 Chartiers Valley (7-3) to a nonsection victory.
