The Thomas Jefferson and Belle Vernon football teams have a long history that dates back into the mid 1960s.

They've played some memorable games, including in 2015 when Belle Vernon used an overtime touchdown to end Thomas Jefferson's 58-game home winning streak.

Friday at Belle Vernon's James Weir Stadium, the two unbeatens square off for first place in the WPIAL Class 4A Big 9 Conference. It's No. 1 TJ against No. 3 Belle Vernon in the Tribune-Review's Game of the Week for Week 7.
